Since I got a new GPU, i went from 768p to 1080p. My monitor is not the best for Full HD, but it's working really nice. I don't plan on updating to higher resolutions, for now I'm satisfied.

What's yours? Do you plan on upgrade?

Mostly native 4k. Some games, like TLoU, I use DLSS quality to maintain 80 to 120 fps on max settings.

1080p on PC, 1080p on consoles. It's good enough for me, and I find it sensible to not use more processing power for a higher resolution (but to each their own, of course - this is just my opinion).

As a programmer I use one of my dual 4k screens for gaming. Depending on the game i occasionally switch to my 65“ tv. I play normally on my 4080 with native 4k and use dlss depending on the framerate of the game

It's a mixed bag on PS4 pro, lots of games that go for 1800p or something like that and them newer release only getting to 1080p like Hogwarts legacy. But I don't really care tbh, it's nice to see but what I really want is good HDR, it's so much more important to me. Elden Ring is not the best looking game ever but you turn on HDR and it means fuck all, the game turns into a beautiful moving renaissance painting.

1440P with high refresh rates (165hz) for me. It's the sweet spot for PC gaming currently.

If I have the headroom, I will super sample from 4k or 5k for a really crisp image.

I've been using a high refresh rate 1440p monitor since 2017 though will likely upgrade to a high refresh rate 4K one later this decade since upscaling is gonna make 4K increasingly a no-brainer choice for high end builds.

I'm on a high end gaming PC from about 7 years ago (GTX 1080ti, Intel 8700k), so while I can game on many games in native 4K, newer games just don't let me and still get 60fps. I am a frequent user of Lossless Scaling, though, which lets me scale up similarly to DLSS and other upscaling technologies. So I will often set those at 1080p and upscale accordingly.

1440p at 144 hertz. Sometimes 4K at 120-144 if I'm feeling fancy enough to plug the PC into the TV.

I do game a lot at 4k native but 1440p is amazing. Resolution is the first thing I'll sacrifice to maintain high fps and ultra settings.
