Somehow NSW holds on the best, despite its age.

Your figures are slightly off because 2023 is 8 weeks versus 7 weeks for 2024, this is because last years first week actually started on December 26, 2022 and this years started on January 1st, 2024. So 2024 is always going to have one fewer week in that comparison chart.

Guess I'll have to think that this is a decent opening for Mario vs Donkey Kong GBA remake.

Super Mario Wonder sticks to the top as usual with the close not too far Momotaro Dentetsu game.

Next week is gonna be reaaal interesting with FFVII Rebirth showing itself. I really don't what to expect from Japan with this franchise anymore .

Anywoo, on the hardware, nothing has moved much as expected. All consoles are pretty down YoY however

Being a direct sequel, I guess it will max at FF7 Remake sales. I mean I would be surprised if people buy Rebirth with not having played Remake.

Ouch for Sony! And Xbox. These aren’t the best numbers to be seeing at the start of year four. Granted, this is only Japan (not necessarily a great predictor for WW sales figures), but still not the most reassuring thing to be seeing.
