Forums - Sales - Persona 3 Reload sold 1,000,000 copies worldwide within its first week, becoming the fastest selling game in ATLUS history!

Great news, Persona is an excellent series. Hope this means more remakes are to come and SMT ports to PC!

It is one of the best rpgs ever made, so yeah, hopefully it keeps getting bigger.

Congrats to the devs, I'm enjoying the game so far, a lot.
While Persona 6 is hopefully well into development (I'm really hoping for a 2026 release, 2027 at the latest), I think these sales figures indicate ports or remakes of the Classic (pre-Persona 3) Persona games should happen, and a Persona 4 Golden remake would be nice one day as well (2028 for its 20th anniversary or maybe the early 2030s if 2028 is too early).
I'll revisit this prediction once Persona 6 is going to come out, but I pretty much think it will probably sell 2-2.5 million its first week.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 122 million (was 105 million, then 115 million) Xbox Series X/S: 38 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million. then 40 million)

Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)

I read that Persona 2 and Persona 4 wil also have a remake.

Does that mean Atlus finally gets to remake the best one they've done with the P2 duology ?

Congrats on the good milestone !
Though, I gotta wonder what's the people going all surprised about it.

Persona is now arguably the 2nd most popular JRPG series behind FF since it experienced a surge and excellent sales with Persona 5.
Also, Atlus doing worldwide releases truly helps, doesn't it !

I want to see Atlus remake P2 as well, even if it's just to see people reacting to this:

Spoiler!

You know it deserves the GOTY.

You have to hold on mobile or right click on PC and then open the image via the drop down menu. It's a Wikia image and wikia uses special protections to prevent people from embedding their images on other websites.

Who the fuck uses this site on mobile? Do you like walking on legos barefoot as a spare hobby?

It's a pretty miserable experience, but yeah I use the mobile version sometimes when I'm not near my computer.
