Forums - Gaming Discussion - List of Games You've Beaten 2024

Didn't expect to be posting in here so soon. I started a new DA:I run, I can't break a habit. I just found out Cyberpunk had an overall in 2.0, not just some DLC so might start another run of that but my PS Extra sub runs out soon so was giving some games a go... and found Tinykin.

Literally 6 hours later, done. I just got hooked. At first, collecting the Tinykin and levels seemed slow but literally into the first real level, a massive room to explore and use the tinykin to get around, how I could choose any direction and yet still end up in the same result because how well the levels are designed. Superb.

Alas, won't be platting, probably easy but feels I've had my fill.

Hmm, pie.

First game of the year done.

Finished Games:

  1. Odin Sphere Leifthasir (PS4) My Rating: 8.5 / 10
    • I'd had this game waiting on my back log for ages, and I finally decided to give it a go. Turns out that Odin's Sphere is a great game. The gameplay is fun, and thanks to the five different playable characters, nicely varied as well. The music is great, and the visuals are gorgeous. The story is overall great, but because of the way the game tells it, focusing on one character at a time even though all of their stories take place at the same time, it means that you only get the full picture of what is going on after finishing all five characters stories. As a result, especially with the first few characters, you can end up feeling a bit lost at times. Still, this was a great way to start the year off.

Currently Playing:

  • Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy (PS5)

In queue:

  • God of War: Ragnarök
  • Persona 5
  • Demon's Souls
  • The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure
  • Steelrising
  • Potionomics
  • Asterigos: Curse of the Stars
  • Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age
  • Tales of Arise
  • and probably a few dozen other games too.

One Piece Odyssey

One Piece Odyssey is the first JRPG I completed this year. It is probably only enjoyable if you have kept up with the anime. The core game is good though and some of the music was brilliant. It does have a lot of minor flaws so I can see why it wasn't rated very highly by reviewers. The characters are pretty well balanced like their anime counterparts, this means you don't have much reason to switch off from your main core. The different areas were balanced like modern JRPGs, ie: a ton of dev time in the early game but then later areas can feel extremely lacking in comparison. I didn't have enough time to go for the platinum, and some of the side quests are tedious, but it looks like an easy platinum. The game is of course on the easier side, as more of a kids game, and that is fine. Overall a solid addition to the One Piece Universe I would say.
