The third million has been added in just over two years, since we achieved the previous milestone in October 2021. PS4 took less time to reach the same figure.

Not suprising that the PS4 was faster but by how much?

The day a Nintendo console manage a milestone faster than a PS console, then we know Sony is losing steam in Europe lol.

Nice milestone to reach in the meantime.

So the weekly figures were adjusted then, because it falls well short otherwise.

The articles linked above give the 2 million mark at 56 months for Switch  44 months for PS4. The 3 million mark at "a little over 2 years since the last milestone in october" for switch and "at the turn of the year" for PS4.

The 2 Mil mark is crystal clear but the 3 mil mark not so much.

2 years is 24 months so a little over 80 months for Switch. For the PS4 the milestone was in July 2017 and at the turn of 2019 that would be and additional 16 months so I'm going with 60 months for PS4. If somebody have better numbers please share.

The Wii reached a lot of milestones quicker than PS5, though the PS3 wasn't exactly the highlight of PS home consoles.

This is glorious news go Nintendo. But still hoping playstation will stay on top.
