Finished it a few days ago. Game and level design get much better near the end a solid 7. Playing Mario galaxy 2 now and wow what a massive step up. love that they got rid of the observatory which was felt like a slog getting into levels. The level design feels so much better with more focus on platforming and less on motion controls and gravity i'm only 10 starts in and loving it so far reminds me of Mario 3.

They both suck.

Mario galaxy 2 is so much better. Level design, challenge, platforming and even like the music better which reminds me of Dragonball. Love that they got rid of the horrible hub world as well, it doesn't focus on the stupid gravity mechanics like the first one did.
