I’d say the timeframe cutoff is the end of Switch era (which games will still sell for a bit after the Switch ends production). If we had some confirmation of a new Nintendo system having ToTK, I think 45 would be easily attainable. 

Correct, do not underestimate the power of meme culture.  It has a much bigger social media presence than BotW did, and that says a lot.

I think 15 million at best, because it's late in the Switch's lifecycle and I have a feeling the Switch successor will be out next year.

Going by the sales of games that have sold as comparably fast on the Switch it's very possible TOTK could be around or past 20m by the end of the quarter.

I plumped for the 27-30 million range. That's on Switch alone, though I fully expect a port to Nintendo's next console at launch - how well that does is really hard to predict so I won't even try xD

If the next gen Switch has backwards compatibility or a "deluxe" version I could def see it going 40m. If not I'd say 25m.

It sold 10 million in three days! Ya gotta figure it probably hit 12m on the second week, and be at 15 million by end of this quarter, certainly 20m by end of the year, and maybe much sooner than that. And that gives it a bunch of months still to sell above 20m before next gen even starts.
