Anyone else following?
I got my fingers crossed for Everything Everywhere All At Once to win Best Picture.

So far pleased to see it take best original screenplay, and with best visual effects going to Avatar Way of Water, well deserved.

First time I've ever watched Oscars and I only really did it for one guy.

BRENDAN FRASER!

After everything he has been through and done, he finally got that Oscar!

Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan are awesome too though and well deserved awards for them both!

VERY predicatable winners, but at the same time im fine with it, cause these are all deserving winners. Its a bit of a shame that Banshees didnt win anything cause that movie is a solid 10/10, but all the same, very deserving winners.

Kimmel was a bit boring tho.

Looks like a lot of good wins this year. I’m a long time fan of both Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis—and also liked her parents Janet Lee and Tony Curtis. I’m not a big Brendan Frasier fan, but some of his roles left an impact on me from near the beginning of his career. School Ties for instance, but that racist Matt Damon kind of stole the show!
(Relax! I mean his character)
Tony Curtis also famously played a racist (Again, I mean his character!), but I think he best film was The Vikings, where he didn’t play a racist, but he killed a rapist.

Janet Leigh was also in The Vikings, but she’s most notable for being the first major slasher victim, nearly 20 years before her daughter, Jamie Lee Curtis, “killed” the first major slasher serial villain.

I’ve been a fan of Michelle Yeoh since Tomorrow Never Dies, but Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was my gateway drug into art house film. It’s one of the best gateway drugs along with Blade Runner, 2049, 2001: A space odyssey, Vertigo, and Mulholland Drive. I’m currently watching Star Trek Discovery… she plays two characters, and one of them is (you guessed it) a massive racist! :D

Some trivia: The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor had Michelle Yeoh and Brendan Frasier in it. But it currently has 13% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

It was a good ceremony.

I was entertained.

I don't like the oscars, but I'm so glad Brendan Fraiser got the oscar for best actor. Puss and Boots should have gotten best animated picture, though...

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I wonder which of the sounds from Top Gun Maverick was the best sound?

Agreed. As if they told him "no confusions for this year".

Also, great year for Netflix after the bizarre choice of 2022.
