Looks like the tv adaptation is set to be another banger - and arguably the first genuinely good live action adaptation of a video game! I'm particularly interested to see Neil's chops as a live action director. Who else is tuning in? Let's discuss it here!

Spoiler tags when discussing specifics of each episode, plz.

I'll definitely give it a watch, although ign is probably on the low end of places I'd trust for reviews of anything.

Is it a weekly show, or is it Netflix style all at once?

Also, how to even watch it? It's HBO, right? But that's US only, so for us non-Americans is piracy the only option?

HBO isn't US only but available in like 70 countries if I'm not wrong. In some other countries you get it through other services. Sky Germany, for example, has some HBO content including The Last of Us.

Edit:

Looking forward to this!
Will probably finish Better Call Soul before I start to watch a new series.
Loved the game and the story is a big part of why it is great. Hopefully it transitions well. Nice to see that the initial reviews does not pan the series. Will be interesting to see how it lands with people who are unfamiliar to the game, if it can break more into the mainstream audience.

I'll watch it if it comes out on blu-ray. It's part of Crave here which we don't have nor want. Another $20 a month, no thanks.

Exciting to see stellar reviews all around.

Already good video game stuff. Mortal Kombat. Silent Hill. Sonic 1+2. Detective Pikachu. Ace Attorney. As for TV series Street Fighter Assassin's Fist is excellent.

Most of those are passable at best. Decent enough to be reasonably entertaining and successful, but not enough to stand above the crowd in terms of artistic quality. Can't speak for the latter two, though.

I'm curious which camp the Mario movie will fall into. Maybe somewhere in between.

First episode in a few hours. Anyone tuning in?
