Sources close to Arkane's higher ups said they are concerned they will be closed as well. Not too surprising they're worried, the last 3 games they worked on, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Wolfenstein Youngblood, and Deathloop, all underperformed Zenimax expectations. To the bean counters at Microsoft, they would be a mighty tempting target, especially since Blade was said earlier this year to still be considered early development, even though Arkane Lyon's last game was 2021, 5 years ago.

I think they'll probably be safe though personally. Compulsion is toast, Microsoft will likely allow Double Fine to go independent again. Not sure about NT since Hellblade 2 underperformed.

"Xbox is closing down Ninja Theory, the studio behind the Hellblade series, a source tells The Verge. Staffers were told on a call on Monday about the closure, but they are hoping the studio will find a buyer."

Senua is a year away. Let’s say they don’t find a buyer. Does the game get canned?

That has to be the fastest game announcement/studio closure ever!

I'm shocked that Asha allowed Senua to stay in the summer showcase since they were right near the top of her axe list. Maybe she was hoping they could better find a buyer if they showed what they were working on and how far along it was?

Could very well have been a public ad to potential buyers. This would explain why Matthew Ball said "no comment" when asked why Senua was getting a PS5 release.

If some of Xbox's first party studios are really leaving Xbox, then I won't blame them.

Well, it's either leave or get shutdown.

Hopefully they're able to find buyers. Toys for Bob was able to.
