#43 ICO?

#41 Kingdom Hearts 2?

Wrong on 43, though I do like ICO a lot. Also didn't think just how many games fit that hint, perhaps it was a bit too vague. And correct on Kingdom Hearts 2.

- Destroying speakers will stop music playing in that particular part of the level.

- Due to a bug, it's impossible to collect everything in the original version of the game. To access the secret level, you have to use a cheat code or an Action Replay.

- The developer was rebranded and went on to produce some of the biggest selling games in history.

- You often have to control various animals in each level to complete certain tasks, and then make your way to the teleporter to exit.

- You will usually have to kill the animals you want to use. You will lose health if you're not in control of an animal at any time.

List so far

Oh, is that Space Station Silicon Valley. Never actually played it myself, but I remember seeing a friend playing it a long time ago.

Spot on. Space Station: Silicon Valley for the N64. Developed by DMA Design, who went on to become Rockstar.

I remember my brother getting this game for Christmas one year. I gave it a shot and have enjoyed it every time I've played it since. A really quirky, unique and fun game.

YOY: +2   My Rating: 8.9/10

God of War was never really one of my favourite franchises, despite its critical acclaim and clear fan adoration. I only ever played the first PS2 game and decided that I didn't really need to play the rest. I liked it fine, but that's all. I skipped the rest of the entries on the PS2, PSP, and PS3, and outside of admiring the gorgeous graphics, never really bothered to even follow the series passively. The tone, style, and gameplay just didn't draw me in. As such, it wasn't until the new God of War was announced that my interest was piqued. It looked different, but in a way that still clearly marked it as part of the same series. The tone was instantly different, and Kratos as a character felt like he had much more depth to him. I still didn't get the game at launch, or anywhere near it, but when I eventually did, I absolutely loved it.

The difference from the previous games was immediately evident as you start the game. Instead of a huge, epic battle against some mythological being, you're just chopping down a tree, for your deceased wife's funeral pyre as it turn out. Not exactly the kind of beginning you would have ever seen in the original trilogy and its spin-offs. From there the game keeps getting better, striking a perfect balance between the old and new styles. The story is expertly told, and the relationships between the various characters are wonderfully written, each bringing something unique to the game. The gameplay is also great, having a wonderful feeling of weight to it, and the visuals and music work wonderfully to add meaning and atmosphere to each individual moment. In fact, to me, the parts that stayed with me the most were the small moments between the characters, even if the huge, epic scenes are awesome as well. When you can see a video game character's emotions reflected in just the way they move, you know you're seeing something special.

50 - Probably the most out-of-left-field one on my list and the only game I'd argue is 'bad'. Dinosaurs and vore. Also it has an arcade version that's trash.
- It hasn't moved since last year. 2-player coop is fun. You get to smooch cave-babes.
49 - Mega Man X4 - PS1 - Salnax
48 - IT's a weird game that straddles the line between being grounded and so serious it makes you cry being kind of absurd and outlandish, especially in its DLC.
- It's a sequel to the prequel.
47 - New Super Mario Bros U/Deluxe - WiiU/Switch - Kakadu
46 - The Messenger - Switch/PS4 - Kenjab

45 - It's not Bioshock Infinite but you turn out to be the villain in the end. IT's also very Metroid. (If y'all don't get it, I'll be disappointed)
44 - the spiritual predecessor to what might be turning into my favourite game franchise/series/sequence ever. It has not held up as well as the others but the Remake is the pinnacle of modern graphics.
43 - People called it a 2D version of a game in my honourable mentions, but in reality it's got so many more RPG and Action-adventure elements.
42 - DLC doesn't just mean DownLoadable Content. DLC is also the title of the DLC, and I got the platinum trophy earlier this year.
41 - It is...inspired by some of my favourite games ever, and it is a 2D sidescrolling sequel to a game that was inspired by the sequels to the games this game is inspired by, which I actually didn't like.

44) Hmm, Demon's Souls?

41) ... is a mindbender. Doubt I can guess it, but if I were to take a wild guess I'd say Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2

44 - Correct! Never finished the original but the remaster is one fo my best console launch exclusive experiences, ever. Next only to Breath of the Wild.

41 - I have this game, but no. Fair warning, the hint is kinda weird. correct, but weirdly worded.

41 - Not sure it fully fits the clue, but I'll have a guess with Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair

43 - Red Dead Redemption? (Also on my list, shocked nobody's gotten it)

Wasn't I correct on that one (48, though I forgot to specify that at in the post because I replied to something else)?

Not sure if correctly answered yet, but #43 has to be Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.

(NEW)

Finally picked up a PS5 over the past year and god this was such a great little game to start with. A tech demo obviously but by far the best pack-in game I've ever played genuinely. Such genius use of the dualsense controller and more importantly just a rly fun collect-a-thon type experience with some unique gameplay segments. Yet again, likely wont last on this list, but a great new experience with a console I've rly enjoyed so far!
