Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (BOTW2) releases 12th of May 2023

Feels great to finally have a concrete date. Nintendo tend not to commit to a specific day nowadays unless they're sure.
In addition, the music is incredible, and the atmospheric rendering for the sky/clouds is gorgeous.

And while I don't agree with their decision, I can see why Nintendo UK wouldn't stream it with that title, talk about awkward timing haha

Yeah because black people didn't enslave white people for hundreds of years (or at all) lol

It has very obvious negative racial imagery that match up with what is one of the worst abuses of humanity in history. There is something very wrong with it. Yes it's just optics, I'm sure the people who came up with this didn't mean anything racist by it, but the fact that they didn't realize how bad this looks means they weren't thinking clearly. People see racism when the optics of something shouts racism! As this immediately does.

They were thinking clearly. They werent thinking in colors. Which is what we all should strive for.

lol no

I never played BOTW but this trailer sure was beautiful

Cool title. Lame trailer.

Please Watch/Share this video so it gets shown in Hollywood.

For my taste, their titles are getting progressively sillier, this one being no exception.

I was hoping to see if there would be split screen coop (I know, it is a long shot) and underworld exploration, but this trailer, more or less, doesn't show much at all.

That's the point, the game is still 8 months out. There's no need to spoil everything this early.

Back in the day we didn't even have trailers for videogames. Once a month we got screenshots from magazines. You could only hope the game that you were looking forward too was issued. There was so much anticipation and by the time the game came out, there was so much to explore and unravel. Good times.

Now people complain if they don't get a 10 minute in depth trailer with all secrets spoiled.

Yeah, given that I'm 50+, I do remember those days, I lived them.

The reveal trailer from 3 years ago was way more interesting and had me actually excited (given that I found BotW to be quite lacking). This one I find to be...well, dull.

Just on Nintendo's American Youtube channel, the trailer has already been watched 3.2M times.
