Sticking with Essential might try out the premium tier for a month or two when more PSP, PS2, and PS1 games get added to the service.

Is it now possible to try out the premium tier for a month or two and then go back?

If I understand it correctly, you have to the upgrade your whole remaining PS+ time and can't downgrade after that until the sub runs out.

My PS+ Essential is paid until July 2024... without a downgrade option, I'll leave it at that.

I see, well, I suppose when my sub is up for renewal I'll just let it lapse and then try out the higher tier service for a month then go back to essential.

At least Extra, esp with Stray and Death Stranding being available on there. I may do Premium, bc it’s only $20 extra per year, but we’ll see. May wait until I see more interesting classics on there like MGS4 and Portal 1/2. Though inFAMOUS is enticing.

Btw, no poll? :)

Sticking with essential. MS rewards already funds gamepass ultimate for me (had it all year so far and only had to pay 15 usd once), so there is really no point in paying for another subscription catalog. Unfortunately Sony does not have a similar reward program so I switching over from one service to the other wouldn't even make sense.

Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-5643-2927-1984

Sticking with my base PS+ sub. I use it only for 2 things., monthly games and cloud saves.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Standard PS+ with occasional months of Extra. I can't work out if that's something I can do though.

Hmm, pie.

4 years, all in with Premium. Stacked PS Now subs before Sony closed that option.

Will I regret it? Doubt it since I had vouchers, and its only slightly more a year than PS Plus on discount. Though it did cost me upfront.

I really don't care that much for playing older games these days.. but since Premium has them.. I have access classic games and they are enhanced somewhat. Same for timed demos. The main draw for me is the PS5/4 stuff in the middle tier.

None for now.
Never actually been a PS+ subscriber, tho I did have PS Now for a while. Currently I got plenty of games to play so I see no reason to start subscribing now, but I'll probably at least try Premium somewhere down the line.

Try out my free game on Steam

2024 OpenCritic Prediction Leagues:

Nintendo | PlayStation | Multiplat

I've never had PS+ and I don't intend to get it.

Considering what is being offered probably will keep essential.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Hope Sony decide to put some effort on the classics to improve them even more plus trophies for the most wanted.
