All-jizz-era reports that Russian banks are now tasked with not only installing jamming equipment to stop nearby drones but also have people stationed with rifles so as to shoot drones down. Only in Russia and perhaps France would you see these nonsensical kinds of solutions. But Russia sucks,so anything they do is stupid.

What will really happen is that the banks will now have flat hire security people to stand around with automatic rifles. That won’t help business. And Ukraine isn’t even targeting banks anyway, so the whole decree and requirement is kind of nonsensical.

I think the way it was reported here is that the banks actually wanted to able to set up this protection for themselves, so it might actually make sense from at least some legit some point of view. I don't know why in particular the officials would want this to happen if there wasn't a need, so I'm guessing there is a need - even if it's just to appear more secure and maintain trust in the bank sector. Of course regardless of whether it makes sense or not, simply having to discuss it means a massive failure on Russia's part - your banks shouldn't be under threat because of a war you started.

I also had the feeling that this would cause worse problems than it would solve.

Sweden to donate 16 Gripen C/D planes, and will throw in some Meteor muzzles in exchange for Ukraines agreement to buy another 20 of the newest E/F models. This package is very nice and Russia will keep its jets away from the front lines, allowing Ukraine to be more safe.

Russian drone hit a big residential building in Romania last night. It's crazy to me that a NATO country neighboring the country fighting against Russia since years isn't able to shoot down a single drone before it hits something. You would think they are much better prepared (also with support from other NATO members) because of the war.

The news here report that they didn't dare shoot it down in an urban area. Probably the risks of shooting it down were even greater. The city that was hit is like kilometers away from the Ukrainian border, so there's also very little time to react.

Sounds weak. "We can't shoot anything down hitting buildings close to the border because we only realize there's something when it's too late and need drones/rockets to take three extra turns to give us enough time"

Shouldn't matter where the drone is because air defense systems don't stop to recognize incoming danger at the border. Their radar system reach is x miles to recognize something incoming to react to it as soon as it is above your territory. Drone swarms, ok, but a single drone? Damn...

If they didn't shoot it down because they thought it is some mislead drone probably hitting a field it's something else though.

It is but if the direct action of someone blowing up a drone causes a death then its lawsuit time, so in this day and age we perhaps should not do anything.

Sounds good to Putin, I'm sure that's how you stop him. We hear excuses why almost nothing is possible since 2022 lol.
