I'll be serious for a moment. I'd rather Nintendo make brand new studios that focus exclusively on reviving old Nintendo ip in the hopes they can be popular again if they have a creative enough idea. We don't really need new IP, Nintendo has plenty it hadn't used in years/decades. And you don't buy an established studio generally to revive old ip, but to work on their own games, so I hope they build new studios with their money.

Considering they are starting to build a new building next to their hq, I think that's exactly what they're doing. Expanding their internal recources.

The only time any buyouts would affect Nintendo is if one were to buy #1 Capcom, #2 Platinum Games...and #3 Square at a far distance.

Nintendo does well with their own 1st party games but those 3 are probably their biggest supporters for games that Nintendo doesn't make but fans would like on their system.
