More hints to my games:

24.  This game is so great, even cleaning up vomit is kind of fun.  First in the series.

  • The doors between some levels in this game look delicious, being made out of things like Watermelons and Lemons.
  • It's an origin story of sorts, and features locations from previous entries in the series.
  • Despite the origin nature of the game it's actually the fourth mainline entry in its series, though it isn't numbered.

#21

  • Getting to use the sword is a novelty, and often tricky.
  • Shooting laser beams at your opponent is also fun.
  • It's the second entry in a series that's still going strong to this day.

#20

  • Radio Ga Ga. Not just Queen's best song, but also related in a couple of ways to this game.
  • One being that the song plays on the radio.
  • It's the fifth mainline entry in another series that's still going strong, although they're taking their sweet time making a sixth one.

#21: I think Star Wars with this description. Let's say Star Wars Battlefront II

#20: GTA V

From a purely audiovisual perspective, Journey is one of my all-time favourite video games. It's more of an experience rather than a story, even if there's are numerous vague hints and allusions to the history of the world and what exactly is going on in the game. From the start of the game you have a very clear goal, a huge mountain in the distance. However, as the name very clearly states the ultimate goal isn't really what matters in the end, rather it's everything that happens on the way there that is truly important.

There's really not much else to say about Journey, other than everyone should play it considering how short it is. It's something that everyone should experience for themselves, from the gorgeous sand dunes to the dark depths of the ancient city ruin and up the snowy mountains, it's a beautiful game that is unlike almost anything else in the medium.

#23: Hint: The villain plans to destroy all dimensions to create the one perfect dimension. A bit different gameplay from previous games in the series.

#23: Hint 2: Many fans consider this the last good game in the series, with later games moving away from the formula established in the first two games.

#22: Hint: Harvest organs and bodyparts to more efficiently harvest more organs and bodyparts. The latest game in this series.

#23: Hint 3: One of the villains henchmen in the end turns out to have had his own plans all the time and is then the real final boss. This franchise got a new entry last year.

#22: Hint 2: A small village is raided by a plague of sorts every 50 years. Last time the village endured many casualties.

Oh, your hints to #22 are spot on yet deceiving. This is Monster Hunter Rise.

You got it.

#26: Super Mario 3D Land

One of the defining 3DS games. Looks absolutely gorgeous on the small system and uses the 3D feature better than any other game I've played on the 3DS.

The level design is rather simple but still great. Finding all the star coins is fun and often challenging. The game introduced two new koopa bosses that are fun to fight but get a bit repetetive.

The final fight against Bowser is one if the best in the series and was very hard for me back in the day. Now it's easier but still a ton of fun. The fake Bowsers in previous castles are funny.

After beating Bowser it turns out that was just the first half of the game and the second one is harder.

The hardest levels are the ones with shadow Mario following you. They used to make me almost shit myself. Great times.

The pictures you get after every world in the first half are a great idea and are all fun to mess around with.

Barring Super Mario 64/DS this is my least favorite 3D Mario platformer. I like the 3D games way more than the 2D games.

A truly fantastic game with some great levels and ideas.

Next five games up.

#20:

  • Following the events of the first game a civil war has broken out between the noble faction and those seeking to reform the empire.

#19

  • The main character's name is quite fitting considering much of the game tackles issues relating to things such as existence and the value of life.

#18

  • One of the main character's name is different in this game compared to most of their later appearances.

#17

  • The game has two distinct halves, before and after a catastrophe.

#16

  • All life on earth ended almost a thousand years ago.

More hints to my games:

26. a) This is an arcade game from the 80's that isn't even one of the most popular ones.  I'll try to make the clues easy, because this is not an easy game to guess.  You dig around the board like Dig Dug, but the game uses apples instead of rocks.
b)  Defeat enemies in this game either by hitting them with a power ball or by dropping apples on them.
c)  Here is a clue to one of two words in the title.  _____ or _____ not.  There is no try.

25.  If you get to the end of this two player co-op arcade game, then you have to fight the other player to see who gets the girl in the end.

24.  This game is so great, even cleaning up vomit is kind of fun.  First in the series.

26 - Mr. Do!

25 - Double Dragon?

Both correct!
