Sorry but this list would be destroyed alone with either any numbered FF or Persona. You may prefer these titles, but to say that PS is losing more big IPs than Nintendo from Japanese devs is just wrong.

Never said Sony would lose them. Saying it's only hardware restrictions keeping those games off Switch the best selling system in Japan.

Sony has not been kind to Japanese devs last few years but Nintendo https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/q631od/cyberconnect2_ceo_published_a_letter_thanking/

I do know why the titles are skipping Nintendo, and at least some of the titles you listed that didn`t show up on Sony isn`t because devs don`t like Sony, unless you think SE doesn't like Sony so they didn't put Octopath on it, or perhaps Xbox is selling so well that it is on it.

There are plenty of letters, you may go after the ones devs in Japan were thanking PS4 for relinking their fire to put quality SW on console. And sure I don't have any doubt Switch is the best seller dedicated gaming device in Japan. And again the titles that are skipping Switch benefits from the WW success of PS, if they thought cutting back to be able to release on Switch would bring more profits they would have done it.

Still you were the one disputing with the other user that PS consoles are losing more japanese content than Nintendo. When again in fact, when looking at the biggest IPs/Publishers it is the opposite.

Microsoft could buy Sony and SE the next day, what's your point? lol

This, and the fact that SE is bloated and only has few skillful people left. SE would be a terrible buy, if it weren’t for their legacy IPs, which SE continues to milk and dilute (FF origins lol).

Nothing SE revealed in the last 15 years touches the quality, polish or ambition of FromSoftware or even Capcom games, they’re just not a good third party developer period.

Lol, stop. FF7 Remake, Nier, Nier Automata, DQ9, DQ11, FFXIV, Crisis Core,  the PSP Dissidia games aren't good games?  Get outta here with that.

Lmao what?

Switch misses a ton more and way more popular Japanese games than Playstation does hahaha

FF16, FF7R, Forspoken, KH3, Babylon, Nier, RE8, RE2R, MHW, DMCV, SF5, Pragmata, Tekken, Ace Combat, Scarlet Nexus, Tales, Elden Ring, Yakuza, Persona 5R, Judgement, Sakura Wars, Demon Slayer, Nioh, Falcom games.

Its not even close. Also do entertain us on why you think a company with $40B cash cannot finance a M&A of a $6B company.

Only reason those 3rd party games aren't on Switch is due to hardware limitations and occasional timed exclusive, not because developers want to skip it. Switch is by far the more popular hardware in Japan, and software sales crush all other consoles there.

These have to be some of the saddest takes I've seen this side of the forum.

The initial claim was PS losing third party JP support. In reality, not only has SW lost many exclusives to PS (MH, DQ, TWEWY, Ace Attorney, spinoff RE, spinoff KH, Harvest Moon, Yokai Watch, Inazuma) but PS gets dozens of amazing JP games that will never come to the SW.

Knowing this you guys move the goalpost: b..bbb.b.but its because SW is weak. No shit, why do you think we have console generations? Keep your fantasy PS is losing JP third party support to yourselves lmao

So we went from Globally in the US to Globally in Japan?

That’s why Sony is Doomed??

No I was never saying they are losing content. I was saying they are no longer the no 1 brand in Japan.

Let me know when you PlayStation fans develop a personality of your own. If you ever had an original thought it would die of loneliness. Btw I like PS consoles. Only one I don't have is PS5 which will change in time but PS fandom is the worst and most hive minded there is. Blocked. Bye.

Inside Japan they aren't since the end of PS2 era, so I don't know the relevance. That haven't prevented them to receive the biggest titles from Japan.

PlayStation will purchase Xbox Games Studios from Microsoft. SEGA and Nintendo will merge and then buy Sony to unify Japan. Microsoft will then show up with more cash than all of Japan and buy them, making (mostly) Japanese shareholders as rich as organic maple syrup.

Microsoft then rebrands the studios it now owns as "G&A Sucks Studios"

G&A = Google and Amazon

I wish they would stop, they so far haven't bought any huge third party like Microsoft has but if they keep buying companies Microsoft will as well. Lets see what each of the big 3 can do with their existing companies for the rest of this generation, all 3 have more than enough now to continually release solid 1st party games.

No one is buying Activision, T2, EA, Ubisoft. They are too big, will not sell (want their games to be platform agnostic), and anti trust will kick in.

Japanese pubs are on the restricted foreign investment list as well.

MS started this. Time for Sony to make their move.

Well this aged like milk... ooof.

I wouldn't feel bad, nobody thought it was likely/possible.
