There are twice as many PS5 users than Xbox users so far, and Xbox game sales aren't known to be blockbuster anyway, so I don't think it will have an impact, since the game is a timed exclusive.

Unlike Outriders, where the developer kinda blamed the Game Pass deal for not breaking even (and not considering the game was buggy and bad in the first place)

I'd like to add another concern that could have a negative impact on sales, Fanboy tribalism.
It's not enough to see people in the Xbox field saying to wait 1 year, there are people in the Playstation field saying they won't invest because the game was made by a "MS studio" and, therefore, the franchise has no future on Playstation.
It seems to me that there are some complicating factors around this game, much to the developer's misfortune.

I think you are being much too pessimistic here. PS5 gamers will buy it as it is one of the few PS5 exclusives releasing this year, not to mention a great game going by reviews.

And when it comes to Xbox, xbox gamers will buy it on gamepass as it is made by a MS owned studio. The year delay will reduce sales no doubt (plus any gamers really wanting the game will get it on PC) so sales will not be that great. But Bethesda would have expected that when Sony monehatted this so I am sure they will be fine.

LOL you obviously have no clue what you are talking about.  Xbox game sales have always been stellar the 360 still hold the record for highest attachment ratio with 11.75 physical games sold per console and the original X Box is number three on that list with 11.01 physical games sold per console.  Since most people buy their games digital now that ratio dropped to 5.34 on the X1 but that is still higher then the PS4 which is at 5.12.  X Box game sales have and will always be blockbuster and on average people that have X Box consoles buy more games then Sony and Nintendo console owners.

You do know the attachment rate is higher when the sales of the console is lower, right ?

For eg: Wii's attachment rate is higher than the DS's attachment rate, despite having +900 million software sold for both consoles. Cause the Wii sold less than the DS.

There are still people that think that if WiiU had sold 90M, their exclusives would have sold 6x more as well, even titles that were close to 100% attach ratio =p

I hope you are correct! But games made by Arkane usually have a small "niche" (they're definitely not known for making blockbusters), also there's a substantial number of people talking about "wait" and "don't buy on playstation"...

I'd love to play it but I have no way to. Even if it were on gamepass for PC, I just don't have the GPU for it. Loved both Dishonored games and Prey, so happy to know that when I eventually get to play it, either with a miracle MSRP gpu or on XSX, its gonna be a good one.

I am a bit surprised that it hasn't made its way to gamepass for PC. That is, there is no Microsoft Store version. Do you think Sony would have paid extra money to include a stipulation that it couldn't go on MS store, even though at the time of signing Bethesda was still owned independently by Zenimax, and this would have no tangible benefit to Sony? Or do you think Arkane just hasn't got around to making a win store version yet? Why wouldn't this be a priority?

You might come up with some justification, perhaps that they're trying to maximise sales (on Steam and PS5) as a sort of second-best solution, based on some estimates of how much Deathloop would increase game pass PC subscription sales against how many Steam sales they'd lose. Or maybe you might think they're trying to double-dip, selling the game to those willing to buy it, and then coaxing in the rest with the gamepass route.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Switch is outselling the console itself - Polygon

"in the U.S. for the month of March, Nintendo sold more than 925,000 copies of Breath of the Wild and over 906,000 units of the Switch."

Nintendo sold more Zelda BOTW Switch games that the actual Switch in NA. Nintendo is the only company i know that can surpass the 100% attach ratio.

It is speculated that Sony when signing temp exclusivity forbid it appearing on any subscription service for a set time.

Probaly after 1 year it will be on gamepass on PC and Xbox, and well if your PC is weak you will be able to try it through XCloud?

Zelda BOTW has sold over 22.28m units since July this year. You think it would have sold more if they sold less Switches?

It likely wouldn't change much, unless you want to cut Switch sales by 70%. Tie ratio is not even close to linear. But I already had this discussion with you on the sales of SW dropping majorly on Xbox so I know it is useless to discuss it.

We had a discussion about SW? Whats SW, Star Wars? Can you link me that discussion we had instead of randomly pulling them out of your hat.

Also if the Switch sold less, i doubt Zelda would still sell 22m units. MK8 sold 8.4m since April on the WiiU, if the WiiU sold as well as the Switch, it would have sold millions more. Not sure why you think it wouldn't. The bigger the audience, the higher the chance of selling your games. This is why the $70 price hike is stupid, because devs claim games are getting too expensive meanwhile they are selling tons more to make up for it, ontop of all the MTs, lootboxes, Season passes, paid online etc.
