I didn’t really play many indie games, in the modern age anyway. I liked Rime and Prison Architect though. The latter is owned by Paradox now though. I wanted to get Cuphead, but waited for the promised Switch retail release. I’m not sure if they’re still going to keep that promise.

Well, let's see....

not a single person here has said Divinity: Original Sin 2, so....you're all wrong.
Good day.

Hotline Miami, Cave Story, Torchlight, Super Stardust HD, Flower.

Journey was an interesting experience too.

Is the latest Yooka Laylee game an indie title? That's a good one. Aggelos is also great fun.

My personal selection:

- Hollow Knight
- Hyper Light Drifter
- Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP
- To the Moon
- Cuphead
- Celeste
- Fez

In no particular order:
* Graveyard Keeper
* Pillars of Eternity 1+2
* Armello
* Spiritfarer
* Gylt
* Pathfinder Adventures
* Don't Starve
* Among Us
* Oxenfree
* Thimbleweed Park

I surely forget a few.

My favorite would have to be Super Meat Boy (the original version with the original music). Great platforming done right. I also like Contrast. I've heard it didn't get favorable reviews due to the controls but the atmosphere was outstanding and really pulled me into its narrative. I also liked what I've played of Fez and Braid so far as well, but I haven't beaten them so, I can't really give either an endorsement. Outlast was simply amazing and should get more credit for giving Capcom the blueprint for what they did to Resident Evil imo.

Given Moon studios 80+ team size I don't count them but both Ori games would be at the top if people want to count them but otherwise.

By the way, it was a much smaller team for Blind Forest.

That is true I have no idea how small the team was for the first game but maybe it would qualify for whatever arbitrary number I feel comfortable calling indie
