50 million for Xbox One is respectable.

VGChartz All-Time Best Years through 13 Weeks

NSW 2021 with the biggest Q1 in history (by 400K margin) and up YoY by 15.6%.

Virtually tied with NDS 07 Q2 for #2 biggest non-holiday quarter in history as well.  As we get better NPD estimates and official Nintendo data, we'll see if adjustments boost it up to #1 (and also possibly first 6M non-holiday quarter ever).

For Q2, it faces the juggernaut quarter of NSW 2020, going in with a buffer of 791K.

Congrats to XB1!  I know that milestone was in question for a while, so it's a big deal that it made it.

I think NSW 2021 is very likely to be ahead of NSW 2020 if we go forward 12 weeks from now.  It sounds like the tough competition is DS 2007.  It's currently in 2nd place on your table and for Q2 it had the best non-holiday quarter ever.  It is very likely to be in first place again 12 weeks from now.

I think the Switch can surpass the Xbox 360 which is at 85.8 million lifetime sales at the end of May.

50 million is a good milestone even though last gen was hard for MS they’ve done a great job at turning things around. Hopefully the Series X can sell much more than the Xbox One when it’s all said and done.

Are the PS5 total numbers going to increase after adjustments or they are already been made?

Did they really turn thing around tho ?

The console spent 4/5 of its life heavily discounted, they released 4 iterations, they even released a console way way more powerful than any other console, they implemented Game Pass, but still get quickly outsold by a 2015 tablet which costed more, was way less powerful and had way less 3rd party support, with games being sold at full price. And the success of the console is pretty much limited to the US market and the UK.

I believe the console would eventually ended up selling 50 million anyway, which will become I believe the baseline for upcoming Xbox consoles in the future.

Respectable? I actually find it embarrassing after almost 8 years. Nintendo just crossed the 80 millionth unit sold in less than half of that time period and Sony is close to 120 million within the same timeline. No wonder Microsoft is… wait for it, embarrassed to show sales figures, because it is, well… embarrassing.

Yeah they did. They turned their first party from 5 studios to over 20 studios, they released a new subscription service (gamepass) with over 18 million users. The situation MS is in right now is much better than they were in 2013.

Ugh, not this again.

"They have 23 studios"

"Yeah but, the generation is over and we got only a bunch of exclusives"

"I said 23 STUDIOS, didn't you hear me ?"

"Yeah, but what about the games ?"

"23 studios, that's huge, how many studio do you have ?"
