Is it the 6S? Surprisingly the iPhone 6S still runs the latest version of IOS 14 which is insane for a phone of its age. Apple has done a great job at optimizing their old hardware to run newer features.

No, just the 6.  Running 12.5.1.

Galaxy S8. I'm close to replacing it.

I came in from Windows Phone on a Lumia 640, and I chose Samsung because I wanted a flagship phone (preferably Android, since it seemed a lot more developer friendly) that was well supported for it's lifetime. For my first real decently specc'd smartphone, I'd say I've been quite happy with it.

Are you a mobile developer? I have some friends that make apps that tell me they prefer developing for IOS because there are less devices to optimize for.

I have the S8 too, would like to pick up the S20 FE when the price drops to around $400.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. I wanted a top tier phone for future proof. The phone has a fantastic camera and is smooth as butter.

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S9.

1st gen iPhone SE from 2016. Planning on upgrading to the 2nd gen SE soon.

The 2nd gen SE is impressive. Basically IPhone 11 specs in a smaller size with an IPhone X camera quality. Great phone but the large bezel design sucks.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T here. Has everything I need, at a fantastic price/performance ratio. Core requirement was that the phone must be supported by LineageOS, because I hate the idea of having to buy a new phone just because the device doesn't get any more updates. There have been no important new features in smartphone technology for years, they have become mature technology, for me there's just no more reason to buy a new phone every 1-2 years.

In my opinion, that is the one area where iOS devices >>>> the average Android device: they get updates for much longer. I'd never get myself an iPhone though, I'd honestly prefer even the cheapest Android phone over the most expensive iPhone (if I had to actually use it and couldn't simply sell it of course).

I wouldn't buy me an iPhone, either, not only because of the price but also due to the fact that for some reason companies in my city struggle to make job applications for iOS. In my current job, and it hasn't been the only one with this kind of oddity, people with iPhones have to go through a different process to log in the app where you check in and verify payroll, and it's lengthy to do it, so a lot of them just end up checking on a PC. So, yeah, Android wins on that front.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Been with Samsung since the Galaxy S7 Edge.
