Dan da dan, season 2. Cool show

I watched Akira on Blu-ray for the first time in a few years. I still like the animation and art direction, but I just never liked the movie. I love that the art inspired games like Last Resort. Burning Force and a bunch more. Plus other media. I'm just not into the idea of supernatural powers in a Cyberpunk setting.

Just started watching "FBI" on SkyShowtime; it's not very good. I'm only two episodes in, but I don't think I'll be continuing this show.
Starting "The Institute" later this week, I just want to finish the book first.
Saw the SWAT episode about a grieving father who tries to hunt down and kill people involved in the American healthcare system that he blames for his son's death. I find this episode eerily similar to Luigi Mangione killing Brian Thompson.

Just watched Runaway Jury (2003). Great movie. The one thing oddly enough that kept catching my attention throughout the movie, was some of the background music. Instantly reminded me of Destiny. Listened to the soundtrack and I'd have to assume someone at Bungie likes the movie or composer (Christopher Young) and took inspiration.

Watching The Beverly Hillbillies. Margaret Drysdale may be the original TV Karen.

Currently re-watching "What We Do In the Shadows" - it's even funnier this time. Matt Berry is a genius comedic actor.
I'd seen bits and pieces over the years, but in preparation for the new movie I watched Police Squad and the Naked Gun trilogy last week. While not every joke landed with me and I don't think I'd rank any of them among my top comedies, each production was still solid over all and Leslie Nielsen was the true icon of deadpan humor. None of them are consistently funny throughout but each has a few true diamonds worth remembering forever after. As for the new movie, I'd say it's a pretty worthy successor. Liam rightly doesn't try to replace Leslie and instead provides his own brand of humor. I don't think any one joke will have the staying power of its predecessors but over all I'd say I laughed as much as before. The body cam scene was a particular high point. In any case I'm just glad a theatrical comedy like this exists in this day and age. We could certainly use more of them. Good job, Akiva.

Finished my re-watch of Game of Thrones. Finished watching Squid Games. I bought Thunderbolts and liked it. Now I am picking back up on Mythic Quest late in season 4.
Saw The Bad Guys 2. Without spoiling it I'll just say the only part I didn't like is that a specific character didn't make a choice I was hoping they would.
