Another win for Switch 3rd party over PS4. MK8 Deluxe still trucking along, only ~130k behind Splatoon 2 now.

Looks like going multiplat with Switch instead staying Playstation exclusive is paying off for Disgaea. Switch version alone seems to have outsold Disgaea 5's opening week on PS4, and combined they're up considerably. This is the smart move for Japanese third parties going forwards.

Splatoon 2 is around 4.5 million with digital. It will definitely sell more than 5 million.

I don't know where you got these numbers, but the DS is at 32.99 million, the PS2 didn't even cross 22 million, the PS1 is at 18.8 million, the PSP at 19.6 million and the 3DS at 24.56 million, shipped at 25.26 million.

The minor discrepency for the DS is noted, though a .02 million between this number and official shipped, a .06% error, is just nit picky

The PS2 number is 23.18 million on Vgchartz and wikipedia for Japan, say whatever you will about wikipedia and vgchartz, but there is overlap.

Exact PSP numbers are disputed for both worldwide and Japan, it appears 19.6 to be the lower end, with a little over 20 million being the higher.

I'm looking into the PS1, though let me ask where you got 18.8?

Also the 3DS numbers are for total shipped, and what is most likely the reason for the large disparity between the Famistu numbers and official shipped is probably that Famistu doesn't track consoles sold through nintendo if I'm not mistaken, also if you really believe there are seven hundred thousand 3DS's just sitting on shelves right now then thats strange, if anything I'd expect the acutal number to be closer to 25 million than the 24.64 number.

PS1 sold 21.59 millionby March of 2005, though this does include South Korea, so it would be a bit lower, which could also potentially explain the large disparity between shipped for the 3DS, should nintendo group South Korea and Japan together in a similar way that Sony does under it's financial reports and just saying Japan

With 8 weeks to go the hardware difference between Q1 2020 vs Q1 2021 is 824.963 on average 2021 needs 103.120 to be ahead of last year's Q1 TOTAL. Nintendo DS 2007 was the top result ever for Q1 which was 1.930.291, in order for this Quarter to surpass the best Q1 result ever it would need an average higher than 131.862 for the remaining 8 weeks of this quarter. 

• Momotaro is already ahead of Pokemon Sword / Shield's Q1 result, with an average of 50K, the game will end up with 950K sales this Q. This would be much higher than any other evergreen has done in Q1, so far the best result was Smash Ultimate in 2019 with 631.721 sales in Q1, which Momotaro can surpass next week. 
• Ring Fit Adventure will overtake it's 2020 total next week, so I won't be surprised if it surpasses 500K this quarter.
• While New Horizon is the other game that could very well surpass 500K this quarter
• The launch of Bowser's Fury, Olive Town & Bravely Default 2 can ensure that even before Monster Hunter Rise launches Software surpasses 4 million for this quarter.

All three charting PS4 titles were outsold by their respective Switch counterparts. Switch is great for 3rd-parties.
