According to PotentHerbs , Gamespot had the PS5 taking 5 seconds to load from the title screen and DF was quoting fast travel loading times , so who knows whats what.

That doesn't add anything to this conversation unless gamespot also test the Series S/X from the title screen. DF tested all three. You can't compare if you only test one platform.

That's why I said who knows what's what when like you said it was incomplete.

That is like comparing olympic runners,
Runar A,B and C ran the 200 meter dash and all got around 19 seconds, If somebody says runner C ran the 100 meter dash and got about 9 seconds. How is that relevant in a comparison if the oher 2 didn't run the 100 meters dash? is a different race with different parameters.

That is a huge discrepancy between a 5 second load from title screen and an 11 second load from title screen. How can 2 different gaming outlets testing PS5 get such a radically different result? Small variations in load time happen every time you load something in a game, it's not always the exact same amount of time, but the difference between 5 and 11 seconds is more than 50%, that is no small variation.

The only thing I can think of is that the Gamespot test was loading into one of the smaller maps in the game while the Digital Foundry test was loading into one of the larger maps in the game, hence why DF got 11 seconds compared to 5 for Gamespot, more data needed to be loaded for the larger map.

But like Chicho said, unless Gamespot tested Series S and X as well and got a slower than 5 second load when loading into the same map as PS5, it doesn't really negate Digital Foundry's near identical load time test for all 3 platforms.

I agree and my PotentHerbs quote  was in respect of Svennoj assuming it was 11 seconds from the loading screen. the DF times were apparently taken from fast travel so even if gamespot did the S and X from title screen it would not affect the 11 second results.

Sorry, I thought you were disagreeing with me so my runner analogy was unnecessary.

I know my reply to Svennoj with the Potent herbs quote was to show that the 11 seconds wasn't from the loading screen like he assumed.

It's fine you have a valid point and mine could have been clearer.

That's weird, title screen loads are usually slowed than fast travel loads, so you would think that the 5 second load would be the fast travel one.

I just assumed that when Potentherbs  put an edit at the bottom saying DF's was fast travel it was because he checked it.

It's still a last gen game. Played it on ps4, won't bother for ps5.

I love watching DF videos, however due to the current nature of the industry, its hard to base a superior version when patches are being made to either fix or improve some versions. In this case, the XSX has stuttering which DF believe is not a hardware issue but more an error on Remedy's part. PS5 has less stutters and slows down less currently but loads the slowest out of the three. This information can all change soon. Enjoy the videos however keep reality into perspective, these games will be looked at according to Remedy so expect improvements. Which ever game runs the least impressive can be the most impressive and vice-versa in the near future.

So PS5 outperformed Xbox yet again and another bug time.

Funny how you skipped a bunch of more recent comparisons, where the Series X had the edge.  This comment shows you have either been under a rock, or willfully ignoring Hitman 3, next gen patch for Fallen Order, etc.

In any case, this edge goes to PS5.  Been a while, but that stutter in performance mode on the Series X cannot be ignored.  Hopefully it gets patched.  I will probably play it with RT on, since it seems to be pretty rock solid.

If you look I haven`t been on VGC for several days, maybe even weeks.

The comparisons where Series X had an edge did Digital Foundry claimed there were bugs on PS5 version?
