Reality:

They had probably already wanted to redo this classic cross-over again from the start. They just made Kong bigger (in since the new Kong movie) because his actual size in previous movies would look ridiculously small compared to Godzilla. Kong climbs skyscrapers, Godzilla is a size of a skyscraper.

To me it looks like they make Kong the "good guy" which means he's going to win. I'll probably watch it on HBO max while fast forwarding through most of it.

I was a big fan of the original Godzilla movies. I really like the mystery of the series, but why no fairies in these newest ones?
