#50 - Devil May Cry V (PS4)

The Devil May Cry series has always been one of my favorites, mixing deep fast-paced combat with over the top action and cutscenes and a snarky main character. The fifth installment is really a triumph, proposing three playable characters each with their unique fighting styles: Nero with his disposable and varied Devil Breakers, Dante with his array of crazy weapons (including a motorcycle and a hat!) and newcomer V with his hands off approach commanding his familiars to do the dirty work.

It takes a bit more time getting comfortable with all three but everything does click at some point and the fighting is glorious. The story isn't as interesting as DMC3 and the original but it's still has some nice twists and insane cutscenes.
