Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Warner Bros. was worried Mortal Kombat 11 would be too mature for Switch

Um... did they learn nothing from Mortal Kombat 2?

Around the Network

Warner Bros worrying Mortal too mature for Nintendo.

Meanwhile, gamers worrying Warner Bros execs are not mature enough for their job.

Or Deadly Alliance on Gamecube?

Or Armageddon on the frigging Wii?

Or even Injustice: Gods among us on the Wii U?

Seriously, are they stuck in the 80's?

They are out of touch idiots. Nintendo has allowed gore on MK games since MK2.

N64 had RE2. Turok. Famicom had Sweet Home.

Gamecube had MK,RE,Eternal Darkness,Killer 7 and such.

Wii had games like No More Heroes,MK,RE and much more. R*'s Manhunt 2. Hell Nintendo developed a game where BIRDO HAS A DILDO IN HER BED.

Nintendo co-owns Fatal Frame. They published Ninja Gaiden 3, Devil's Third, and Bayonetta 2 + 3. They marketed M rated games on Directs. Nintendo paid for distribution of Wolfenstein NC on Switch which has female nudity and tons of gore.

Nintendo E3 2019 they allowed the word Fuck in their own direct with No More Heros 3. Nintendo does not censor 3rd party games on Switch.

So Warner media is living in 1992. Nintendo allows anything esp these days. Postal and Hatred are both on Switch FFS.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

It's a myth that seems like it will never go away. I'm not really sure what can be done to combat it either.

Switch Code: SW-7377-9189-3397 -- Nintendo Network ID: theRepublic -- Steam ID: theRepublic

Now Playing
Switch - Super Mario Maker 2 (2019)
Switch - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (2019)
Switch - Bastion (2011/2018)
3DS - Star Fox 64 3D (2011)
3DS - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Trilogy) (2005/2014)
Wii U - Darksiders: Warmastered Edition (2010/2017)
Mobile - The Simpson's Tapped Out and Yugioh Duel Links
PC - Deep Rock Galactic (2020)

I'm not sure why they would think this. The Wii even had Mortal Kombat games

Good point!

Noboby wants to remember this game, but it happened:

In North America, while the game is available uncensored on the GameCube and Xbox, all naked breasts are covered in the PlayStation 2 version.

I wish they would stop using the word "mature" for legal age. Mortal Combat is less mature than any Nintendo game.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Not this dumb stereotype again, we're not in the 90s anymore (and even then it was dumb)
