Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox Game Pass has reached over 15 million subscribers.

$10 a month times 15m subscribers in one month = $150m times that by 12 months = $2.250b times by 3 years = $6.750b

Who says their is no revenue or profits with GamePass.

Eh... No.

Many users probably just upgraded their Live subscription to Gamepass for free. PC only users just pay $5 at the moment.

However, this is the growth period. Get people hooked and show its a service worth having. Also with all the studio acquisitions it just keeps getting better.

If Gamepass can remain this active over time than it will be a huge success. Also, people still buy games. So its not like all revenue depends on Gamepass. Some MS games have have done very well on Steam for example.

Showing good growth, I wonder what the split is between regular gamepass, ultimate, and gamepass for PC.

Hearing Crusader Kings 3 day 1 on Game Pass really helped it’s PC growth

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

At this point, with the addition of the Bethesda library, EA Play, and XCloud, MS will either have to grow Gamepass to something like 100mm subscribers, or raise the price. I'm sure they're going for the 100 million subs option as their first choice. I hope it works out, so that they can keep the price reasonable.

Its just a rough estimation, but if you are doubting the profits on GP than you might want to really look into it.

I understand not every one is paying the full $10, however when you include Live Gold subs to this number, it only increases greatly. The amount of money these companies make with these paid subscribions is astonishing.

GP is also at its infancy, when it starts hitting its strides and surpasses 15m subs and grows from inside and outside the console industry, MS have an easy billion dollar service generator.

The only thing I really disagreed with was your math.

I'm curious to see how the service holds up when virtually everybody is actually paying $10-$15 a month. However, it seems like there is great potential for this to indeed generate billions annually.

Congrats. I`ll probably sign some months to play some third parties that I don`t mind collecting.
