yes but did it even come out as a full game on switch or a must download 80% condition on it lol.

If you are trying to use partial download for the physical version as an equivalent to not getting the game at all, you are severely reaching.  And I say that as someone who frowns on the practice of partial downloaded games.

It is an old game that does not justify any form of a download.

it is no different to those games where they sell you two games for the cost of way more than one and and one of them is just a download code

What you said is a reason to be indifferent.  Your not buying the game for that reason is not a reason to be against the port coming at all, which is the topic of discussion.  Especially when many people buy games digitally on Switch because of how well it works portability wise.

I hate GTAV and would not bother with it, but that does not change the fact that popular games being added to the library of the Switch is only a positive for the device itself.  And with that I reiterate, there is no reason at all to be against the port coming over.  You said it yourself, it is an older game.  It should be relatively easy for RS to do with minimal effort on their part as well.

L.A. Noir says hi.

. Now I no that red dead, GTA, and all Rockstar games are developed in the same city and country. thanks!

Multiple studios, including both RS North and San Diego worked on the game.  A simple google search would have told you that, no reason to be sarcastic when called out.

Why would anybody be against it? Maybe I'm not understanding the question...

If its gtaV or nothing, then yeah I'm with you. If we could instead use those resources to get a AAA game that was made in the last year or, crazy thought,  I simulrelease of a big upcoming game, id prefer the latter. Thats the 1 reason I could think of.

That wasn’t developed by rockstar north... it was developed by team Bondi...

No, Team Bondi started the development of the game, but later on Rockstar North and San Deigo became heavily involved as well.

A simple google search would site both developers being involved from multiple sources.

Come on now, really?  Should we go around and claim all support studios are the ones that developed games now?  Monolith software develop Zelda games.  Great!

congratulations, on a technicality you are correct.  However, a minimal support status of a game doesn’t really count in my book.  These auxiliary studios aren’t the ones that design the game or anything, they just pick up excess grunt work that needs to be done.

You manage to miss the point. In house R* North/San Diego developed games Do not equal Team Bondi, R* Vancouver, etc. My original point is fact. You cannot call me out on it.

I'd love to have GTA 5 on the Switch.

If it doesn't happen because Rockstar North doesn't want their franchise on Switch, I can understand. Like a jilted ex, they may still be angry at Nintendo, even though they've CHANGED and matured since the N64 =P

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Rockstar is against because it wouldn't meet their GTA Online model the way they want.

That's a good point actually, if it's going to tie up a porting studio like Panic Button or Virtuos, I'd rather they work on current gen ports to Switch.
