Do you like the PS5 console design?

On its side it looks like a normal console that was put half way in an oven and it warped the plastic.  It really looks like it had an accident; so much so that the poor thing now needs a crutch to stay level horizontally.

But I don't think Sony is going to show it like this in ads.  Instead, I think they're going to push the robot vagin... uh, I mean... giant router look.  And I mean giant - it's a behemoth, making it even more of an eyesore.  Seriously, the XSX may not be aesthetically pleasing to everyone, but at least it's not going to stick out like a sore thumb sitting on the floor next to your subwoofer.

It's a shame too because I've always liked Sony's console designs (including the handhelds), some more than others, but this thing just looks ridiculous to me.  Try as I may to find some kind of artistic style here, I just keep being reminded of that Everybody Loves Raymond episode with the sculpture:

How are you guys seeing a vagina I have no idea :PP

It looks sexy (I personally like vaginas), but damn is it big.

Do you have problems with big vaginas?

Need to buy one of those penis enlargers?

It sure is different from the rest of the Playstation family, but it's really not bad.

Funny that most seem to compliment the symmetrical one as better looking but then others will complain that the controller is symetrical.

So, in summary...the PS5 looks like a big vagina...ok, well who out there doesn't like one of those?

We do have a big gay communit on VGC, perhaps they won`t like as much as otthers may.

But I haven`t seem any similarity with any type of genitalia, with a router I can see.

When you look at it this way, it's a really ugly design.

Yeah. The white sections is like 2 piece of A4 paper glued on to it. I wish they cruved the top part to the black.

Pocky Lover Boy!

I like the design initially but then I realized how impractical it is. Good design should be form AND function.

I saw these over on Era and tt looks so much better without that stupid bump and side-stand.

Looks slightly better.

I calculated it wrong earlier, the 'wing span' is about 8.7 cm, with the top right of the console 9.9 cm of the ground when level like that.
That's about the same height as ps4 pro plus breakout box on top.

You need about a 1.2 cm high block to level it off on the right side. I guess you can hide the psvr box behind the console and feed the cable through the gap underneath. If you still have room behind in anyway. Put the breakout box on top, add stand, and you're as high as the xbox series x on its side. Tough fit.

Since symmetry improves everything

Even it out with a HDD/SSD expansion bay on the other side :)

All of those look pretty decent. Better than the revealed physical model. The dual ODD version is actually pretty slick, but doesn't exactly solve the horizontal stand problem.

Someone was clearly thinking the same way I was yesterday. Make the base flatter further along for when the physical model is horizontal.

I tried to match the vent curve to the outer shell casing curve. Thought it flowed nicely and followed the general design language.

Looks meh but I don't care as long as the games play fine.

In the end the way tv networks have been axing old movies and shows from their channels, who knows if that will be the final design. Waiting for some nutter to say that it reminds them of white people oppressing black people.
