Yes I responded to your constant comparison to how Xbox was superior for you in various aspects, a lot of which are subjective anyway. So I suggest you re-read through your own comment too. Sure, people are excited to see the console but for people who are serious about gaming, the console aesthetic is an afterthought. It's not the be all and end all, and it's certainly not a deciding factor. The most important thing is the games, which is what this event is about. Nobody can judge what the DualSense will be like until it's in our hands, so I don't think it's fair to speak nonsense.

Please explain what was subjective? Backwards compatibility is subjective? Or is the 12teraflops vs 10 teraflops subjective? Is the great design for cooling and ventilation subjective? Is the joystick position subjective?

When did I say the xbox was superior? Do you even understand English? Please read carefully.

Who are you to tell me if console aesthetics is important for me or not? Do you live in my house? How would you even know?

Most important thing is the games sure, both will have hundreds of great games. PS2 has more games than ps5 right now, does that mean I should just buy a ps2 instead? You make no sense.

A LOT, not ALL of what you mentioned is subjective I said, so again I suggest you read thoroughly. Design language and aesthetic, and controller preference are certainly subjective. No one can say a controller is objectively better.

You keep re-iterating that Xbox is superior, even in this very response in the line before you say "When did I say Xbox is superior ".

I never said aesthetics weren't important,  I clearly stated that they weren't  a deciding factor. Stop twisting my words.

Ironically enough you argue that if the games are all that matter, then as PS2 has a large library then that means we should all get a PS2, yet you are the one bringing up how Xbox backwards compatibility is superior.

It's obvious from your posting style you have a pro-Xbox bias, so stop saying to people who are calling you out that they are mistakenly doing so.

This is a PS5, not Xbox thread afterall, and the event hasn't even happened yet. Everyone else in the thread have been staying on topic. I would equally call out someone posting pro-Sony sentiment in an Xbox event, or Nintendo direct event thread, especially before said event has even occured.

The event has been postponed as I wondered aloud a few hours ago.

I wonder if Sony will consider postponing this event if the protests and tension continues in the US? EA delayed their reveal of the next Madden game for that reason.

Hmm, I'm thinking that there's a bit more pressure on sony to keep things as planned considering the large number of external companies involved (many not american) and it being a necessary part of launching a new hardware (EA its just one game). Also I think they have enough time to prepare a response to the situation by thursday and the protests will be in a different state by then and be receiving different kind of press/social media attention

Alas, the event has been postponed just like I supposed it might be. How does this make you feel?

Madden is a very US centric franchise, so that delay is understandable.

The PS5 event on the other hand is highly anticipated all around the world and postponing it would do the perception of the Black community absolutely no favors. Sony has already showed their support for the cause on twitter and might include another nod in the presentation and I think that's the best kind of action they can take concerning the situation.

Sony has postponed the event. I don't think gamers should take frustration with the postponement out on African Americans who simply do not want to be killed by cops anymore. What is your take now?

Sony is a global entity.
Just because people are out protesting in 1 country, doesnt mean it can just change things around to suit that country.
(even if the US is a big market)

Its up to people if they want to see this PS5 reveal & games event or not.

Madden's market is probably like 90%+ in the US.
Plus america football, has had past issues with racism. So it makes sense, they "have" to push their thing back.
They dont want to look bad, or like their against the protests.

Playstation cant afford to look weak by last minuet cancelling of events, or moveing things around like this.

Basically these 2 things arn't the same.
Its unfair to judge sony for acting differntly than EA does in this case.

And yet Sony postponed the event anyway. You seemed fairly confident in your assessment. What do you think about the sudden and unexpected (except by me) reversal?

Dissapointed because I was looking forward to it but I already accepted this was on the cards

Like others have said, no they most likely won't.

And yet they did.

Thoughts?

Makes sense why they did. Time to postpone that excitement. Hopefully they will have a new date sooner than later.

Oh for fucks sake Sony. Are you really going to delay your conference because of some idiots tearing down stores?

If you are going to wait for the world to be at peace everywhere, where there is zero issue going around, you might as well dig your grave and lie there in wait, with all the people diyng of hunger, disease, prejudice from both white and black people, corrupt politicians, and so on.

God, after all these shitty months, I was really looking foward to this. It's probably delayed for just one week, but still....

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
