Forums - Movies & TV - Kingdom Hearts Disney+ series seems to be in the works

Kind of interesting. I like the potential of Disney franchises that don't interact having a little crossover... I'm hoping they'll have someone to reign in the plot and make it more manageable. I like the KH story and its weird convoluted charm, but I don't think it would work for an actual series.

So no TV-MA possibility then. Great news!

Guess I'll just stay on Netflix

Yeah, because if there's something that works in the Kingdom Hearts series, it's the writting. If this is true, it's going to be a monumental failure.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Disney has a policy of not allowing anything above PG-13/TV-14 on Disney+. Any future R/TV-MA content from Disney, such as the rumored continuations of the cancelled Marvel-Netflix shows (Daredevil, etc.), will go on Hulu instead of Disney+, as Disney now owns a majority 67% share of Hulu. Disney wants to keep Disney+ family friendly.

I was being sarcastic lol. I'm fully aware of their policy.

Square is making it? *sniffs deeply* I can smell the flop a mile away.

Well I like Kingdom Hearts so I'm interested in the series.

Don’t do what they did to kingdom hearts 3 please.

Is the story a reboot? How’s it going to work? I haven’t enjoyed the series since 2 was such a disappointment.

Really excited if true. KH has such a huge potential as a series, so much so that it boogles the mind they didn't do that before.

The only thing that worries me is what they will adapt/what the show will be about. Personally, I think the best bet is just to adapt the first game story, for the first season anyway.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
