By that logic, DualShock 3 was perfect because they kept it the same as the DualShock and Xbox 360's controller was bad because they changed it with the Xbox One.

________
Lol please the 360 to Xbox One is a tweak compared to what Sony just revealed.

Again what you're saying is nothing more than what "you think" is recommended by the majority..... and you find it silly to provide proof??  Proof is what solidifies your claim lolll !!!  How else do you think debates, lawsuits or anything in court works? Or in school for plagiarizing, video game sales etc...it all needs proof!

You say the the PS controller can be a bit small for adult hands, well kids play too.  Think about the mass and not just adults.  My nephew couldn't play Xbox with me cause the controller was too big but he was fine to play with me on PS3.

Heck, people can claim to say that Dualshock is better/D-pad location is better by the fact that Dualshock controllers have sold the most of all controllers in gaming history and all the more reason why Sony kept the design from PS1 to PS3/keeping the D-pad where it is with PS4.  Because numbers of Dualshock sales are more proof of it being a better controller than you saying to just "google" it up.

But that's not what I'm saying, I'm just saying its a preference thing. Nothing more.  But you wont let it be equal, you're very adamant about claiming Xbox controller is better without any proof other than to tell people to google it.

With that comment of yours of saying it's "silly you’d even ask me to provide proof" (because clearly you can't provide), is proof itself that you are nothing more than a troll.

I’ll say it again, Xbox merely tweaked theirs yet Sony buckled on their core design and were at least partly inspired with the Xbox controller grip design. One changed to be like the other, the other tweaked.

That fan made render of the PS5 looks not half bad. It takes the Xbox Series X shape and adds details from the PS5 controller.

Ya I actually like it. Both look better when together like that. Mind you, if XB fans aren't already pointing out the DualSense controller flattery, imagine if the console is that shape as well. PS fans will never hear the end of it, lol.

Here's another one I saw but didn't like it near as much, though it looks more like a legitimate design based on it's shape.

If you are going to do this, just know Xbox based their controllers entirely on the Dreamcast and Saturn 3D pad. Using the SEGA colored buttons. Placement of ABYX. The shape and almost included a VMU function when using Dreamcasts as focus test consoles when developing the Xbox. So with your loose logic, let's just give credit to SEGA here. But wait! Nintendo started the diamond pattern. Super Famicom had the colored buttons. PS1 controller was based on the SNES controller. My god, they all copied Nintendo! ...oh and Nintendo copied Vectrex with the analog stick if we keep at it.

Seriously...who gives a fuck?!

Looks okay, initially I was pretty impartial to the design (two tone) but its grown on me. It looks more ergonomic to hold in hand than the DS4 since the transition to the and face and grip is more smoother and less angular. Like more of your palm is resting on the controller it but still keeps the iconic DS shape.

Haptic feedback is nice addition too.. hopefully the rumble is an evolution on the Xbox One one/Switch. The built in mic is cool as well, would be pretty nifty if you could bind those to keys in game or have devs utilize that for games. I remember seeing that used for Kinect for certain commands in Mass Effect 3 using Kinect and it looked quite handy. Like I imagine in a game like Dragon Age where you would call out the name of an NPC in your party and they would use an ability you set it to. Or even have more funky ideas like having it listen on on horror games where you have to be radio silent or you will get spotted xD Off to you Kojima!

The only issue I see is that, the use of white plastics which don't tend to age well in some devices.. hoping they will release an all black version close to launch.

Ah yeah that second one is way too complicated. I'm glad the PS5 controller has more of an Xbox controller shape. IMO it will make it more comfortable to hold.

Same here. I've always been a fan of the XB controllers. I was one of the only people I know who liked the Duke but I had bigger hands than most kids my age back then. The first 3 DS controllers were ok, but the DS4 was a really big improvement in terms of comfort. The DS5 looks even better. As for the stick placement, while I would say the XB layout is slightly better, the PS layout isn't a problem at all for me and works fine. The symmetrical sticks do make the controller visually look more pleasing I find.

Added mirror image colors to the d-pad on the blacked out version mock up.
