This debate is better for Trump than Biden. Not saying Trump won it but he's made somengood points against Biden and the winner isn't as obvious as last debate.

Biden was way stronger than the first debate though. Trump didn't self destruct, but Biden had a strong debate.

Overall, I highly doubt that it will change anything.

Nah Biden was the only cohesive one last Debate and Trump actually made some decent points here. Overall I think Biden won the  debate but this will definitely help Trump more.

My view is Trump was somewhat less of a brat than last time but he still has not bring anything that will gain him vote outside of his most fervent voter base.
Biden did not make mistake, and was even more solid than last time, try to reach to republican base many times.
So clear winner here.

Thoughts on the final debate:

- Interesting touch Biden coming out with his mask on
- No plexiglass?
- Trump right into the same old talking points, teases vaccine as expected
- Biden finally really stressing death toll
- Trump seems to be behaving
- I like the moderator following up on Trump's lofty claims
- Trump with a weak comparison to swine flu
- Biden really stressing the severity of covid at last!
- Trump starting to lose composure
- Good answer by Biden on lockdowns, classic hyperbole from Trump
- Trump interrupting the moderator more than he is Biden, goes on weird tangent, plexiglass is expensive?!...
- Very relatable reactions by Biden, lol
- Weak response by T on Wall Street
- Pillows and sheets?...
- Aaand here comes Emails 2.0
- Trump really leaning into the accusations
- Good amount of "no u" back and forth
- Biden pulls back from bickering, appeals to the viewer again, Trump mocks that?
- Trump kinda whiffs on North Korea, B gives direct answer
- Trump continues arguing with the moderator
- Another strange tangent from Trump bringing up Kamala
- Trump starting to resemble his old self again; ranting, fearmongering
- Don't think T is winning any new voters whining about Democrat cities
- Trump whiffs on family separation, Biden with a stern correction
- Good passion from Joe
- Ridiculous lie from Trump about 'catch and release'
- Good appeals from Biden on race relations
- Trump seems completely incapable of addressing the viewer, even when asked to

Definitely a less decisive, spectacular debate than the first. Trump started out far more controlled than normal, but eventually went right back to his old ways. This one might actually help Trump a little simply for not being the train wreck of last time, but it's also probably too little too late.

I think last time expecatations were on Bidens side, this time they were on trumps side.  Trump was so obnoxiously bad in the last debate that if he just shut up a little bit people would view him more favorably.

I do think Trump put in a better performance, but ultimately I don’t think it did anything but confirm everybody’s bias.  There wasn’t anything big that really hurt or helped anybody.

I just hope we can get rid of trump... more than anything I just want to get rid of Betsy devos...

A little boring. I almost miss the chaos.

In terms of Biden, I'm seeing a lot of people say he did better, but I don't know if I felt that way. I think he was really good in the town hall at giving really detailed policy information. I realize that you can't quite do that in this format, but I was expecting him to come closer than he did here.

Biden was a bit more aggressive here, but also avoided things like clown or shut up which, justified or not, didn't help them. I think Biden may have actually interrupted a bit more than Trump? Usually they were just one word interjections though.

In terms of the two major lines of attack Trump did, I'm not sure how people will interpret how he did. In terms of Hunter Biden, it was a pretty basic denial, and a push back against Trump for his international dealings. I think this was kind of clever. Trump got defensive and kind of retreated. So that was one way to handle it. At the same time, I don't think it was strong enough to shut down the issue.

In terms of "why didn't you get this done" I think that's a bit of a weird attack coming from the guy who's currently President. I think most people know you simply can't get whatever agenda you want done instantly and politics is kind of a tough business. But, maybe some people will find Trump's arguments compelling.

I think Biden did a good job on Covid, because it's really hard for Trump to defend his record there. His answer to the last question was also fairly good. In terms of previous crime policies, I don't think he did a great job defending his record, he did much better at the Town Hall. I think he did well to point out that Trump isn't running against Bernie Sanders, and responding to some of Trump's bigger exaggerations.

Interestingly, Biden did not throw Hillary Clinton under the bus, who was the one who used the term super predators. He should have known that was coming, since it's a lie that's been repeated, so he could have easily said Hillary Clinton said that (although she wasn't referring specifically to black people).

As for Trump, he did better than I expected, although my expectations were fairly low. He was more under control, although he got progressively more agitated as the night went on.

At the same time, I'm not sure if he gave any good answers. Pointing to the economy in response to Covid was probably the best he could do, but still not a great response.

Trump didn't really have responses for things like tweeting videos of people saying white power, cause what could you say? Pointing to things he did for the black community like supporting black colleges (we'll just suppose for now that he did I don't know) was the best he could do. But... things like "I'm the least racist person in the room" and that he has done the most for black people "besides Abraham Lincoln" are kind of ridiculous and destroy credibility.

Trump's attitude towards race was... weird... He's been running on the law and order and Biden is going to let people run wild on the streets, and then seemed to argue that Biden was too tough on crime? Seems like Trump was trying to argue he was more progressive... maybe that will help him with more liberal people, but I think it goes against his core messaging.

Trump bungled the last question. Given a chance to appeal to people who weren't supporting him, and basically made it a rant about how terrible the left is. Which was kind of the opposite.

The best moment for Trump was seizing on Biden's line about oil. That's being treated as a big gotcha by the more conservative members of Twitter... but is it? I mean, he's been pretty open about moving towards renewable energy, so surely people already figured that part out. And, even in states like Texas and Pennsylvania, are the rank and file people all that big in support of oil? I dunno. We'll see in the polls.

Overall I think this was basically a tie. I don't see many people switching their vote based on this. In that sense, it's a win for Biden since he's already ahead.

It went exactly as I expected. Like four years ago, Trump played dumb the first two debates (we were gracefully saved the second one this year), and then played the "See I'm a statesman" card in the final debate. At least he tried hard.

Biden was weak in countering Trumps' lame attacks. I got the impression that the Biden camp only prepared for the raving Trump, so nothing learned from four years ago. Basically Biden never came out of his corner when constantly being (rather lamely) attacked over his 8 years of vice presidency "doing nothing". This was an obvious hook for Trump and I'm really puzzled that the Biden team seemed to be unprepared for it.

So if anyone could be designated "loser", it's Biden's advisory team.

CNN Poll:Trump does better than last time, but still trails Biden 53 to 39 in the debate performance. Favorabilities hold steady for both candidates.

YouGov: Biden 54% (+19), Trump 35%. Interestingly, a higher spread than they had for the first debate. Of course, it's hard to compare to CNN's numbers since their (CNN) sample was D+14 the last time and D+1 this time concerning registration.

So Fox news is airing something interesting. Its a guy Tony Bobulinsky that says he has evidence of Joe and Hunter dealings with a China company to enrich themselves. Interesting that he has all these text, emails so fort but of course he doesn't have anything with Joe name on it and he waiting until less than 2 weeks to come forward with his new patriotism. Yu have to love the last minute long ball here but its interesting to see how this will play out. There is nothing illegal going on since these deals were done in 2017 but he would need to provide evidence with Joe name in it to really bring this home.

It’s all dumb.  I’m sure Hunter was using his dads name to make some money, and honestly I can’t really blame him.  I don’t believe for a second Joe was involved in any of it, and obviously none of it has Joe’s name either.  The crazy thing though, is if you flipped the script and looked at Trumps kids, I’m pretty sure they have done far worse, but with out the drug addiction to blame.
