Just to give you some perspective of scope here, Houston had only one single polling station for all it's 5 million inhabitants

That was the number of drop boxes if you wanted to hand-deliver your absentee ballot. There were 800 polling places in the county this year, as well as ten drive-through polling places.

Ah sorry, must have mixed those up, my bad!

Why does anybody care about Georgia when the only place that matters is Pennsylvania?

They have to do a recount, so what? Even if Trump wins the state, it's absolutely meaningless.

Karmic justice. Win by 306 votes like Trump won in 2016. He said back then it was a "huge landslide" and all.

Recount in Georgia confirmed...... Ridiculous.

Not really, everyone should be expecting a recount in all the contested states especially if the results are within 1 to 2 percent.

Just remember that if Trump loses, he can actually come back in 2024 so that would be pretty epic.

He won't. It's over.

AS PER 538 BIDEN JUST TOOK THE LEAD IN PA!!!!! IT"S OVER! OUR LONG NATIONAL NIGHTMARE IS FUCKING OVER!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

For now, we've simply delayed a possible authoritarian takeover. If we don't take the senate, the judiciary will become more and more right-wing and eventually throw out any remaining protection for voting rights.

There's going to be two runoff elections for Georgia's two Senate seats. If either of the two Dems win that then we take the Senate. Alaska has 44% of it's votes left to count. All mail in ballots. The Dem running for Senate in Alaska has a 10-20% shot at winning there. IMO there's still a 19-27% chance Dems take the Senate. I'll be donating to the campaigns of the Georgia Senate Candidates, and I think a lot of people should too. Trump and the Republicans were outspent this election, so they may be all tapped out on money. That means with enough Dem campaign cash those Georgia runoffs could eek out a win.

Recounts typically only move the vote count up or down by 200-500 votes. Biden's lead isn't going away.

Im not expected any changes and that is the problem. Wasting our time to prolonged(or attempt to Rigg) an already extended election period.

It is important for democracy that votes are counted properly even if they don't matter. Just let them have this little bit of democracy.

Also I don't understand the rush. This isn't supposed to be entertainment, it's an important process that will take as long as it needs. If they get everything done by early december it's still absolutely fine.

I think that is a bit generous. Dems have a decent shot at one seat in GA, but they need two to take the Senate. I'd give them about a 4% chance right about now. It should not be expected that they take the Senate this year.

I hope someone challenges Nancy Pelosi for the Speaker of the House.

Almost at the finish line.
