Forums - Politics - Official 2020 US Presidential Election Thread

Will be interesting to finally see for myself a short lived presidency in Murica. So far in my lifetime, Clinton, Bush and Obama all have been 8 years in office.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

No, that was just stupid, or the claim that there were more people voting in WI than registered voters when actually people were using an outdated list of registered voters, or the picture of two ladies counting votes in Michigan using Biden masks. All most likely bollocks.

It's primarily all the mess related to main in voting and ballots arriving after the election date, people being instructed to back date ballots, dead people voting, the "typo" that generated 133k votes for Biden in Michigan, states for no reason stopping the counting of votes so it may take longer to wait to more ballots to arrive, the media calling states for Biden earlier than it should be, arizona voters having their votes not being counted because they were instructed to use a pen that cannot be read by the machines, the list goes on. As of course, the bias and censorship from media. I dont expect you to believe neither to care for any of this as you definitely wont find any of this in regular media and even if you find anything, "independent fact checkers" will call it debunked.

And at the end of the day, we usually tend to do not care when our side is winning.

I just hope that all those cases were not enough to change the course of the election and that if there is any recount, that the result achieved might be the same as we have now. USA is the max symbol of democracy for most of the world and the last thing we need in the world is the president of the most powerful nation being called "illegitimate" by half of it's populations and part of the world.

Don't worry, no one who knows anything about democracy considers the US to be one, let alone a good one. The US hasn't been for quite a while. Both of the last 2 Republican Presidents were voted in by a minority, aka the opposite of a democracy. And the electoral college is just the small starting point of the many things that invalidate the US as a democracy.

The US invading other countries to bring democracy is already a global meme since they should be invading themselves first to bring democracy.

We aren't a democracy.

We are a constitutionally limited Republic.

Democracy = mob rule.

God, this will never end.

Sucks that Trump lost and unfortunely the presidency will go to Biden, but even I am through with this " Who will win?!? Tune in tomorrow for more developments!!!"

This election has been a disaster.

Its Trumps fault.
Hes like a agent of chaos.

He cares nothing for civil norms, or laws, or good faith ect.
When hes in a race for presidency ofc its gonna get ugly.
Ofc hes gonna try and cheat, bully, and legal (action) his way across the finish line.

Hes a clinincal diagnosed narcasist (to a degree its a mental health issue he has), that lacks empathy, and is power hungry.
He ran on lies (drain the swamp? he is the swamp)... and what did he do when he got in there? surrounded himself by crooks that perverted the law and their power, and self enrichment from the emblem. He had alot of people under him, get sentenced to jail, and then he pardoned them. Crooks.
That and racism.... and that wall (which never got buildt, and the part that did wasnt ever gonna work as intended).
Thats what Trump will be remembered for, that and how he mis managed the corona virus.

Whats "a disaster" is that soo many americans are fooled, into voteing for him this time.

You can excuse people the first time.
Maybe they didnt know DJT back then.... maybe they got fooled.
But after 4 years, people should know what type of person he is, and how he ran things.
It was a mess. Its crazy that so many people are willing to vote for him this time as well.

Shoulda been a blue wave.... instead it was just barely edgeing ahead by biden.
It says something about the american people imo.

Please, I'm being serious here. Let all that "Trump is a monster, that only seeks to sow chaos!" nonsense out of this.

Sure that Trump is making things harder with asking recounts on all Biden "controlled" states, but it's also the states own fault.States like Nevada "taking the day off" for zero reasons why, Pennsylvania stopped counting and will only resume next week(if I'm nothing mistaken). This is all stupid that has nothing to do with Trump or Biden( I think Biden and the Democrats has nothing to do with that, hope so).

It's just the states themselves being incopetent.

It's really sad for me to see alot of votes going for Biden just because they hate Trump, and are delusional thinking that he wants to destroy everything, and not because they genuinely believe that Biden is a good candidate. Just goes to show the state that the democracy is in the US.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

The information sources on the right and left are not equal. The viewpoints of their rank-and-file are not equal. And naturally, Don Jr. retweeted this.

I listen to Mark Levin regularly. He was anti-Trump up to his inauguration.

There are roughly 289k votes remaining to be counted in PA. Biden needs roughly 64% of them to tie.

The recent dump which brought Trump's lead from 90k to 78k was from Cumberland County in which Trump has a ten point lead, and Biden overperformed the pace he needs to win. With a significant amount of ballots still coming from Philly and Pittsburgh, it is hard to imagine that Trump has enough votes to hold on.

That should tell you all you need to know about his grift.

The lesser of two evils, is probably the mentality of most.
Trump borderlines on destroying the foundations of america and its democracy though.
(hes acts and talks like a autocrat/facist)

Apparently alot of americans just dont care, about liberty, justice, freedom, or the state of their democracy.
They rather have tax breaks for the rich, and abortions made ilegal.

And yes I think its crazy it takes this long for america to count votes too.
Rest of the world, they have the same rules / system, everywhere and everything is just smooth saling.
Makes you wonder, why every state has its own damn rules, and ways of doing things.

Your supposed to be "united", time to work 1 set ways of doing it, and makeing sure every state follows suit.
Its not supposed to be like this, elections that take so long.

Time to cut the cheating gerrymandering, and voter suppression bullcrap too (requireing registration? should be automatic, if your a citizen) (takeing away peoples right to vote? thats not democratic ect ect).  Finally work out your electoral collage system.... a minority winning a election should not happen in a fair democracy.  Also the 3-7 hours of waiting in line to vote? Do americans have any idea how crazy that is? Rest of the world, we have ques that last like 5-10minuets. In a real democrazy you wouldn't have a system that requires so much of a person just to vote (7hours in que? nah dog).

Also you should write into law, that elections happend on holidays.
SO every person (even those with jobs on those days) can vote (in person).

While Biden is gaining in Pennsylvania and Georgia, he's losing some in Arizona and his lead is now down to 65k.

There should be a dump at about 9 (Eastern) which gives an update from Maricopa. If those don't go strongly for Biden, he may not hang on.

Right now, I believe there are still about 430k votes from Arizona so Trump would only need 57% of those to tie, but Maricopa might change that math.

Worth nothing though, that with either Pennsylvania or Georgia, Biden doesn't need Arizona.
