lol yeah. I thought it was finally getting BC for them but they just mentioned them so they can justify why they won't be BC for PS5 lol.

And that seems what they are trying to give, but need testing because it isn't just a whole PS4 inside PS5.

The most insignificant detail about the video that I noticed and would like to comment on:

Cerny had a Vaio machine in front of him even though Sony sold the brand a while ago. Why?

I thought the same think, for me Vaio wasn't even manufactured anymore. Perhaps they bought back and haven't revealed yet?

Very disappointed by the small amount of BC PS4 titles though. Was hoping it would be fully BC with all PS4 games at least...

They put the BC on the silicon of PS5. They confirmed the top 100 played games run fine, but almost all BC have odd cases where it won't work so Sony is still testing case by case to confirm. But don't worry as probably all relevant games will run.

Just wanted the PS5 to replace my PS4, but seems like that wont happen for a while. Sony used to be so great when it comes to BC. But I guess it does eat into a companies profit if they can just sell them again on their service.

Well that is true, the number will rise until release of the console, but I don't know what games you are expecting to play so I wouldn't plan on counting PS5 fully compatible for you.

Actually it's a good shows  my brain got even bigger listening and got lecture from Mark Cerny 

 

I would bet this event was tweeted and presented as it was on purpose.

SNY has a general idea of XBSX paper specs, which may be higher. They wait to reveal right after the XBSX reveal, and XBSX specs will look better.

What do you do?

You dress up Cerny like a scholar, have him talk like a rocket scientist, and explain he created a game console. Many won't understand, but will see a genius and will buy a PS5 because of it.

Mind you, the games obviously have to follow or it's all for nothing.

100 is not great if they are focusing on the most played ones. That would be like many CODs, Battlefields, Fifas, Maddens etc. Games that have an online component to them. I don't know. Its not the end of the world. Would just be a nice bonus if it was fully BC.
