Nintendo conditions users to pay alot for their stuff.
Which their proud of..... "this game is 20 years old but still sells at full price!" ,
"sony & microsoft would never be able to do the same, their games arnt worth it".

Switch in general has less competition with software prices.
Basically devs do this because they can, and dont want to rock the boat.

What is this nonsense lol. All ports coming to other consoles at later dates typically keep higher prices. There's nothing special about it regarding Switch. Throw in that Switch is still a new console with a smaller library and of course publishers are going to charge a higher price. You're describing very basic, logical business strategy, stuff commonly seen on all consoles, but trying to make it seem exclusive to Switch because "Nintendo conditions users to pay a lot". When PS5 and XSEX launch you'll see ports of current gen games released at high price. You'll see games that have no business being even $30 launching at $60 because the library will allow it.

Also funny to see you talk down about Nintendo fans being proud of something, as if you wouldn't be saying the exact same stuff if Sony made games that held value instead of selling Horizon Complete Edition for $9 about a year after release lol. Come on.

Wonder how will they do that if the machines are going to be retrocompatible from the beginning. And didnt MS just recently made a point of enhancing dozens of old games for free?

I was going to say it's silly to compare the price of a game released on a new system to the price you can get it for systems it's already been out on for a while...

But the PS3 version of Strangers Wrath launched at $15.... so....

I will still buy it because we nintendo fans afraid they would stop porting games to switch if it doesnt sell well. Thats why we paid full price for ultra street fighter 2, witcher 3 and many others

I paid full price for Witcher 3 because it is an amazing game and there is not another GOOD way to play it on the go.  All content on card without a mandatory day 1 patch too.

So I guess wanting to support CD Project Red, that somehow makes Nintendo fans conditioned to buy at higher prices.

I have always bought new right when the game comes out, wether it be Playstation, XBox, or Nintendo.  That being said, Nintendo has nothing to do with my supporting devs that I feel deserve it, and I have never really paid more for a Nintendo game than any other game I have bought.

Not saying it does not take a while for their prices to drop on 1st party games, I mean they hold their value so why would they?  I am just saying your logic behind why some of us pay full price for Switch games does not really apply to everyone.  I was conditioned by my impatience as a human being, not by any company scaring me into supporting their ports.

I don't see the connection. The PS5/XSX will see enhanced ports with updated graphics. Even if it's just 4k/60FPS without touching anything else.
As long as current gen games don't use a variable framerate and dynamic resolution, nothing will change when played on next gen systems.

Kind of depends how much they expect to sell. If they expect to sell to a niche audience they need more money per copy to make the investment work.

Or they're just trying to rip people off. Either way, I don't see much point in complaining. I'm a big fan of people educating themselves before they make purchases, and not buying something they don't feel is worth it.

I am rereading trough old magazines and the nintendo tax is something gamers complained about in 96

Because Lorne Lanning doesn't like Nintendo fans and thinks that they are stupid.

This is true as crazy as it sounds. The man has no love for Nintendo.

I think his team ported Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey to the Wii U and the game was in a state where patches were mandatory, but he basically said that Nintendo fans suck for not buying his garbage.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

A Biased Review Reloaded / Open Your Eyes / Switch Shipments

Well, the solution is very simple. Just don't buy it. The more people buy games like this at such high prices the more publishers are going to put those prices on their games. If people just refuse to pay these ridiculous price then they won't happen as much anymore.

Oh right, now that you mention it! Almost forgot that one. I wonder if he learned from that or if he continues to be dick if his game doesn't meet his expectations.

This is the same guy who had no faith in the Switch with that interview with Kinda Funny who were and still are negative nancies from back in April 2017, expecting it to fail and adding the out of context but still tasteless comment, saying "The biggest problem I see at Nintendo is the thinking. Personally, I think it killed Iwata; that he couldn't move the organisation into a really successful arena."
