As of july 2020 Halo 5 had 17m player https://twitter.com/GCZawurdo/status/1286193881189556224?s=20
According to Xbox achievement tracker, about 7.5% of people had completed some missions on Halo 5 co op. That's almost 1.3m people. Yes it might not be a majority but most games don't even sell 1.3m units or have that amount of players. nIts unacceptable for 343i not to have this at launch.

Summoning @DroidKnight to lighten this thread up with a bit of shit-posting.

Ill do that for you..

WTF is up with all the Halo Co op fans lately?, where the fuck where you guys with the other halos that only had like 7% of players playing co op?. What you guys didnt support the feature and now your crying cos its not going to be there on launch?. Maybe you should of played it more to show MS how much you love Co op.

*Edit* and that gif fits so perfect with what im saying xD.

This isn't exclusive to halo, but vocal minority will always shout the loudest.

I understand people want to play Halo Infinite this year and with you! But let's not downplay the importance of Co-Op Campaign, an iconic feature that has been with Halo since CE at launch. It's weird seeing "minority" being thrown around by gamers that play on Xbox

Spoiler!
(Just Kidding, don't kill me)

. It isn't some obscure feature that barely anyone uses, you can be pro no delay and still be disappointed and give 343 a strongly worded letter.

The H5 7% figure I see commented a few times is completely with no context. For completing any co-op mission on heroic. There's no solo variant of this, and when you consider only 57% completed the first mission on ANY difficulty, it doesn't look nearly as bad. Completing Every co op mission on heroic is 1.77% completing every mission on Heroic is 6.34%. so 4.57% did it solo. So over 25% of players played it co-op. That's isn't no small chunk. Roughly One in Four gamers played it on co-op.

Looking at Halo 4's achievements that also have two comparable ones.

Bromageddon - completing campaign on heroic or harder on co-op - 5.77% (xbox tracking)

TA:85,625 players

I need a Hero - Complete the Campaign on Heroic or Harder - 10.16% (xbox tracking)

TA:128,092 Players

Over half on both TA and Xbox's tracking are co-op completions

This is how a lot of people experience Halo... if you don't care about it, cool but let's not deny the importance. It's also beyond weird seeing outspoken people being labeled as "whiners" (talking the internet as a whole not the forum), as if expecting or wanting a complete game is a problem...

I also get that "negative talk" can be kinda draining in here so I'll try to make this my last post where I mention it.

I just really hope 343 delivers a solid halo game at the end of the day.

That's what really gets me. Like how the fuck are the people that want a complete Halo game at launch the selfish ones in this scenario?

I swear, if the next GTA comes out with most of the emphasis being on the multiplayer that is now clearly the majority of the playerbase, and where they make their money, with Rockstar dropping smaller episodic style single player rations or something....I better hear fucking 0 peeps about it from the "oh come on, don't be selfish wanting a game delayed just cus a series staple that you personally happen to like isn't shipping with the game day 1" crowd.

The thing is that if a full delay doesn't change the parts of the game you can get already this year then it's a stupid delay as long as you don't care about what reviewers or fanboy of other systems will say.

They want to add co-op campaign and not change parts of the campaign which would be something completely different and a real reason for a full delay.

Forge is a different story...

Some throw around with the percentages like "7% of xy million played it which is still a lot" (yes it is but that's the TA percentage) and you completely ignore about how a huge part still never touched it and you want all them to wait even longer because of how it's best for you.

And of those who did play co-op campaign in the past, many obviously only did months after release. Even if you look at those who bought the game at release so that the amount of people "suffering" from a release this year is even smaller. And of those who would play co-op campaign short after release, some still want a release now (like me) which reduces the number even further.

So in the end, you really only have a really small percentage of people who will really have a problem with a 2021 release. But all other Halo players shall wait even longer? Yeah, sounds much better as a full delay.

343 fucked up but that doesn't mean that all those who still want the game now should wait even more. THAT is selfish and not from them.

Finished my first playthrough of 12 Minutes. Seems it has multiple endings so I'll play it again but it's disappointingly short. Not worth the price of 25$ imo but we have GP for games like this anyway :)

Eh, Gamestat isn't really accurate, I get the message of your post but you made me excited that we had updated Halo 5 numbers until I saw Gamestat I was ready to trash Halo 5 for being destroyed by Forza Horizon 4

Before gamstat shut down they got their player count from the Xbox API. But the point is that millions play this mode and it’s been a staple since CE.

Those numbers are flawed anyway because of achievement hunters. If a delay would not make the majority happy then why delay it for the minority?

Achievement hunters are players.
