Current state of development is shutdown/polish period, focus is on reviewing, bug fixing.

More campaign gameplay to come after shutdown mode is over, where they will shift focus to more gameplay captures

We're definitely not getting Campaign gameplay at Gamescon then are we? Even more negativity to add to the pile when folk are questioning why they refuse to show Campaign, Lol. Not even sure we'll be getting a release date anymore.

I really don't know why the campaign not being shown at Gamescom is that big of a deal or this delay tbh. They're giving us a roadmap so it's not like they're withholding information and we all know they are doing this because they want to make sure the campaign looks it's absolute best before showing it off again. The release is roughly 3.5 months away so plenty of time. Patience is a virtue lol.

This could be the worst critically received mainline Halo game ever released tbh. I'm starting to think this game will be lucky to break 80. No co-op. No Forge. No Firefight. No Warzone. No much requested, flavor of the moment Battle Royal game that so many are clamoring for. Separate packages. A full priced single player game vs a f2p multiplayer. Media is gonna kill this game at launch.

I feel the hyperbole starting to building up. Did they confirm no firefight/warzone/other mode won't be at launch? Having a good campaign is way more important to the game launch then some extra modes. If the campaign is better than Halo 5(which I'm sure it will be), then scores really should be in the 80 range.

I'd delay it even longer to early September 2022 get co-op and Forge into the game maybe get Firefight in there as well for those who like co-op multiplayer and just overall make it an amazing Halo experience because I'm fairy sure this will be the only Halo we get this generation with the speed 343 have been developing so spend the time and make Halo sit at the top of the FPS genre once again.

Currently don't care about any of the missing modes/features but it's definitely disappointing that they couldn't deliver them for launch even after the long delay...

Just delay it ffs this'll end up being a bigger disaster than Cyberpunk. Not going to even touch the game without co-op anyway. What a joke.

Eh... I don't think I'll play the campaign this year then. But then again I might not be able to avoid spoilers that long. Big meh

Eh, I think that's a little extreme despite me being annoyed too, Halo 5 also had no Forge, no Firefight, at launch, I won't comment on Warzone cause I honestly can't remember how it was received and I think, knocking a game for not having something it never had (like Battle Royale) is ridiculous but maybe some reviewers will do that.

Halo 5 also had a lack of Game-Modes, no BTB, a lack of distinct Maps, along with an awful Story and still snagged an 84, Lol. I'm not sure why Separate Packages would matter to the reviews too, they'll (I assume) be reviewing them together.

I honestly don't think Reviewers will give a crap about Forge for the most part, no Campaign Co-Op is likely to hurt it, I've always believed that a key part of Halo Infinite's Meta will come solely down to the Story and whether that's any good. Halo 5 - Awful Story, Meta was 84, Halo 4 - Good Story (But Poorly Designed Campaign), Awful MP, Meta was 87.

But I do think if Campaign/Multiplayer aren't packed with the OG stuff then yeah, they'll be hurt in reviews.

It's becoming pretty clear now that MS banking/praying on both packages being reviewed as one is the only reason that the campaign and multiplayer are even launching at the same time at all if you ask me.

I had a feeling they were gonna miss some features at launch. Unfortunately seems like my hunch was right.

#Doubt

I'm disappointed too but at least wait until we see more of the game before comparing it to one of the most broken games in recent memory which was also one of the most overhyped games from the very start due to the studios pedigree but ended up being...Yeah...You know what I mean!

Well lately I've been trying be hip and up-to-date with my social media behavior and overreact to everything. Was just about to type some death threats to devs and cancel my pre-order while I'm at it.

But seriously, they should at least delay it for 3 months then and it's not a big deal. Even no split-screen was an issue for Halo 5 and hurt the game. Many people including myself want to share the first playthrough with a friend. Personally I can wait and play something else until they add co-op but it's not good for the game.

Imagine this game had actually launched last year...wtf kind of disaster was that going to be? Not having a basic Halo thing like co-op at launch, even after a year long delay, to me means the development of this game has been a total train wreck. All my optimism for this game kinda just went right out the window tbh.
