This would be so wonderful. Microsoft and Sega seems like a natural fit, just like with Bethesda and I think Microsoft could really help revitalise many of the old IPs aswell. It would be wonderful with a new Thunder Force or Shinobi game for example :).
I know it's still Covid-19 time but that doesn't mean that you should take romancing someone in a video game too serious lol

Not sure what the deal was between Kojima and Sony, but seems weird that Sony didn't want to publish PC version of the game as they've been preparing to release Horizon Zero Dawn on PC at the same time. I can be wrong but I think that Sony only funded the game and published on PS4 and that's it. I have huge doubts that Kojima would ever want to work on IPs without retaining the rights to himself after what happened with Konami, so I don't think that Death Stranding belongs to Sony. On the other hand, you provided a valid point about the engine. Who knows what terms of use does this engine have. It's not out of possibility that it is prohibited to port it to other platforms just like you said.
Don't really need Microsoft to start releasing games anytime soon. The beginning of the year is quite busy on some good releases anyway. I think I'm set pretty much until May/June and that's not counting a huge backlog which I hope to work on throughout 2021.
I don't believe Death Stranding will come to Xbox since Sony published it. Regardless, if MS is going to publish a Kojima game, I would much rather have a new IP. Death Stranding never seemed interesting to me. Wouldn't it be ironic if Xbox published a spiritual successor Silent Hill?

Not a matter of wishing. Once Phil purposely placed the Kojima Easter egg in the video interview, this fate was sealed.

Well considering that the game was supposed to be Stadia Exclusive they were going to lose that Kojima game anyway.

I actually didn't like Panam. OTOH, I crushed hard on Judy, but playing with a dude V had its issues (obviously), so I decided that when I can finally get my hands on one of the newer Radeon cards, I'm building a real gaming PC and modding the game so I can romance her as a guy.
