Yeah whoever was feeding all these insiders info about Perfect Dark were getting trolled, considering that the game seems to be open world or at least open and not linear then it will likely not be episodic unless each episode takes place in a different city.

Among Us is a weird choice as it’s free on mobile and like super cheap on PC (currently $4). The only good part is achievements lol hopefully they can get it on Xbox and android GP too. I don’t see why not.

Hearing the devs talk about Perfect Dark makes it sound like its gonna play somewhat similar to Mirrors Edge.

I still think the game may have seasons/episodes. From the trailer it obviously takes place in Egypt. In other seasons maybe we investigate other Datadyne facilities in different countries.

My thoughts:

  • Glad we are getting Perfect Dark, but disappointed that it's 1st person, you can't see Joanna's ass as you play if it's 1st person xD Also, most of their hires specialize in 3rd person games, not 1st person, most of them come from studios like Crystal Dynamics, Naughty Dog, and Sony Santa Monica, all 3rd person specialized studios. This may be the biggest viewpoint mistake since CD Projekt picking 1st person for Cyberpunk 2077.

So.....not a mistake at all then?

  • Flight Sim running on Series X looks like it has some very high settings from the PC version, and the Summer release window is nice.
  • ARK 2 as a timed Xbox Series console exclusive is nice.
  • MS didn't announce any system sellers for Spring 2021. With Halo delayed all the way to Fall, they really needed a Spring system seller to counteract Sony's stacked Spring (Deathloop, Ratchet & Clank, Returnal, GT7), but it seems like Xbox will only have smaller exclusives for the first half of the year except for maybe CrossFireX. They really needed that Spring Horizon 5 and we didn't get it. Here's hoping Horizon 5 is announced for September 2021 at E3 or the Summer Digital event, whichever ends up happening, since Spring Horizon 5 isn't happening.

Only reason people are disappointed about PD being 1st person is because 'insiders' said it would be. Otherwise, fps would have been the default expectation. I honestly had zero preferences either way.

Yeah, I don't really mind if it's in first or third person.

I was rather shocked and disappointed that cyberpunk was in first person when it was revealed. Glad to be wrong.

Disco Elysium is only timed exclusive to PS5 on consoles it will release this summer on Xbox/Switch. https://mobile.twitter.com/jasonschreier/status/1337214302554632192

I hate when trailers are misleading.

I thought Ark 2 trailer was the best one until I saw the name. Disappointed that this trailer is for this game.
Nice to hear about Perfect Dark. It seems two years away at least.
I was sure we'll see gameplay of Hellblade or Rare's new game. Surprised that we saw neither.
Very happy to see Mass Effect alive.

No one is going to get these award seriously the way they are presented. The body language of the presenters say "let's get this award out of the way so we can show the next trailer"! Well, for me that is for the best, but I can't really call it The Game Awards. This was supposed to be the Oscar for the gaming industry and now it is a mini E3.

So the show probably had better Xbox announcements than we expected.

While Yakuza series coming to Game Pass is great, I expected a little more. But only because of the huge bunch of games they announced at X019. Then again, there are just a few more days until they will tell us the new games of the 2nd half of December and maybe give an outlook for 2021.

I'm just glad PD is coming and Marvelous has decided to finally jump in. Also, a minor mistake: Tamsoft is NOT owned by them. They are a subcontractor.
