I think this is compensation for preorders not being available in Mexico yet. Even down here in Colombia they were open by the time they were in the US (and out of stock, naturally).

Xbox really needs a better marketing team. Right now, leakers are building more hype than the marketers are.

Easy strategy: "leak" stuff and confirm it after everyone's reserved a console.

Done with Tell Me Why.

Chapter 3 was pretty much as disappointing as I expected it to be. There's just nothing exciting going on. I bet there are more interesting stories within my own family if I just searched long enough.
Every character acts like this is the biggest shit ever but barely anything has happened. Everyone is just lying for absolutely no reason, except maybe one person who initially had a reason.

Have to knock down the score a little more. Easily the worst of their games. 6.5/10

Has there been a poll about what Xbox IP's should get a remaster or remake?

This might sound a little underhand but, there is a lot of stuff coming out about CDPR lately and how awful their management is and their crunch, which will eventually lead to staff leaving from being burnt out, therefore even more reason for Microsoft to acquire Techland. There's so much talent in Poland and if Microsoft acquires a studio there but implements much better working conditions it could be very enticing to employees of CDPR. It could be what is happening with Naughty Dog/Santa Monica employees coming over to The Initiative.

Now before someone says, yes I have no doubt Microsoft has crunch too, almost every studio in the industry crunches but some do it a lot more than others, we don't really hear much about Microsoft's crunch conditions so I can't say for sure how bad they are but given Microsoft is a trillion dollar company they are in an easier position to be more flexible with schedules, Phil has also gone on the record to say more development studios means more development time and recently they've been very willing to delay their games.

This isn't even an issue confined simply to gaming. Ask pretty much anyone who is in software development...they work almost 24/7. I would know. My dad has worked in that field his entire life, and he's almost always working. He works the regular hours at the office, then he comes home and works another 2-3 hours, and then during the weekend he'll work anywhere between 5-12 more hours depending on how much he has on his plate. He doesn't even go on vacation without a work laptop.

Crunch is simply a reality of game development, there isn't a single studio that doesn't crunch to meet the deadlines set by publishers, and only a handful of indie developers that have enough money that they don't need to rush development just to release games frequently enough to keep the lights on. I've read stories of crunch dating as far back as the mid 90's, when Sega Japan gave Sega Technical Institute a strict December 1996 release target for Sonic Xtreme, which was impossible to meet and resulted in overwork based health issues for many team members (one in particular worked so hard he was told by a doctor he had less than 6 months to live if he didn't stop) and I'm sure there are crunch stories dating back even further into the early 90's and 80's as well. Microsoft doesn't avoid crunch either, we already know 343 was crunching quite hard on Halo Infinite before it got delayed.

Yeah, it's existed forever.

E.T on Atari 2600 was so dreadful because of crunch.

I've been dieting all week and ya'll aren't making it easy.

Honestly surprised Fable won, y'all have some extremely high expectations on Playground.

I'm excited for Fable but I voted for Elder Scrolls, I'm trying to temper my hype for Fable given Playground have never done an RPG before, I'm expecting a great Fable title but short of amazing, I'd think they'll have a similar progression to the Horizon series where it gets better with each entry.

Nah you just an ES fanboy. I re-watched the Fable stuff from July, and I'm really excited to see where they go. I'm certain it will be divisive. People like Wright I feel are going to hate it for its look.

It is a shame that none of these games have any cultural impact though :/

“Is it possible to recoup a $7.5 billion investment if you don’t sell Elder Scrolls VI on the PlayStation?” I asked.

“Yes,” Spencer quickly replied.

This question, Lol.

My response to that question would have been, "When has MS ever needed Sony to recoup an investment?"
