#1 in each category gets the full package.

Series X, Hall of Fame trophy, Xbox hoodie, 12 months Game Pass Ultimate.

#2 gets.... nothing.

I always wondered what happens if the same person comes first in both Gamerscore AND Achievements won (which isn't unlikely). Will he get the prize twice? Unlikely IMO. Will the gamer in 2nd place get the prize then? If so, who will receive the prize? Runner-up in Gamerscore or Runner-up in Achievements won?

They are also giving out 10 additional Game Pass Ultimate 12-month subscriptions to random people who registered for the event (10 for each country).

So it's all or nothing then, Good luck!

Honestly in the unlikely scenario that someone is tied MS should just give them both the Series X it's not as if it's going to hurt them.

That's not what I meant.

Imagine Gamer A being on the top spot on BOTH leaderboards (Gamerscore and Achievements Won).

Gamer B is 2nd on leaderboard "Gamerscore" and Gamer C is 2nd on leaderboard "Achievements Won".

Will Gamer A receive the prize twice? If not, will MS reward the second prize to a runner-up or not at all? If they do give it to someone else, which runner-up will receive the prize? Gamer B or Gamer C.

You could also ask the question: For which category will Gamer A receive the prize? Gamerscore or Achievements Won? Logically, the runner-up of the other category would get the price. Problem is, both categories are equal and MS didn't make it clear in the competition rules. In the end either Gamer B or Gamer C will be disadvantaged.

Playing three weeks games mainly for easy GamerScore instead of playing games I wanna play wouldn't be worth 600 - 700 Euros for me.

That seems like a lot of work with a very bad hourly wage.

eh it's not too bad as I play on one TV and watch AVGN on the other. I'm done with all episodes though and I'm not yet sure what I'm going to watch next.

A week or two before the competition I was also (once again) very undecided on what to play next and wasted a ton of time by just going through my game collection over and over again only to do something else entirely. Wasn't much better than the current situation.

Oh right, There is probably something in the small print covering that but no one reads it

Hopefully there are cheaper options.

So with the gen winding down and the news coming in slow. I was curious, what was everyone's top 5 games of this generation? 2013-2020.

It doesn't have to be strictly Xbox btw. Here are mine:

1) Persona 5 | Royal (PS4)
2) Fire Emblem Three Houses (Switch)
3) Forza Horizon 4 (Xbox One)
4) Judgment (PS4)
5) Red Dead Redemption 2 (Xbox One)

Curious to know what everyone else's are.

It's tough, but here are some of my favourites in no particular order:

1) ori and the will of the wisps - probably my favourite game this generation. Absolute perfection in everything.

2) Forza horizon 4 - absolute masterpiece. Spent many hours just enjoying driving around in the open world and collecting beautiful cars.

3) ultimate chicken horse - super fun couch coop game.

4) Deus ex mankind divided - amazing atmosphere, great story, great gameplay

5) Halo MCC - it's Halo, nothing else needs to be said

Honorable mentions - Witcher 3, gears 5, Battlefield 5, quantum break, overcooked 2

Maybe cyberpunk will end up on the list too when it comes out
