...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

That acquisition has people triggered like:

You think they're triggered now, wait until Starfield comes out and isn't on PS5.

And whenever ES6 comes out....oof. The forums are gonna get ROUGH

Yeah, I thought they would stay multiplat for the big guns, but according to Jez, maybe not. Think MS is more concerned with bolstering game pass and is willing to lose some money from PS sales.

I have some difficulty understanding the argument people make for MS keeping the big Bethesda games multiplat.

If literally all MS was interested in, is adding value to GamePass, they could have struck a deal with Zenimax for less than half the money they're paying to acquire them to just do exactly that. Bring games to GP day one for X many years.

This is a long term play to bolster their whole ecosystem. These games are not going to be on PS. I'd be willing to bet A LOT of money on this.

Yeah, I agree. MS could have made a deal to get all Zenimax games for the rest of the generation as day one gamepass releases for probably less than $2b, instead the spent $7.5b to acquire the whole publisher. This is a move to keep Bethesda's games off of both Playstation and the competing Cloud services, Stadia and Luna, while bolstering Xbox, I'm sure of it. Will they lose sales by not releasing on Playstation? For sure, Fallout 4 sold 8m+ on PS4 from physical alone according to VGC, Skyrim over 10m between PS3 and PS4. But, exclusivity will boost Xbox hardware sales and get a good many of those Zenimax/Bethesda fans on Playstation to buy an Xbox, and many of those PS fans who don't buy an Xbox to play them will either play them on PC or on xCloud, which is still a win for Microsoft's ecosystem. I see no reason for MS to put those Zenimax games on PS, nor do I see a benefit for putting them on Stadia or Luna. Switch/Switch 2 maybe, MS clearly doesn't see Nintendo as a competitor, just look at Ori and Ori 2 on Switch. Which is accurate, Nintendo fanbase is largely separate, MS and Sony largely compete for the same console gaming fans.

PS5 can get a Fallout 76 port for all I care.

I do not think anyone honestly believes that those 3 games will stay multiplatform. (Fallout, TES or Starfield).

This is not Minecraft, those are system sellers and they will be exclusives. When Satya Nadella says "will be on PC/Xbox and then other platform on a case by case basis", it is as clear as it can be :)

Watch this: https://www.ign.com/videos/xboxs-bethesda-buy-changes-the-console-wars-next-gen-console-watch

I mean, the Play Station dude (I always disklike this guy, not because of Sony vs Microsoft preference but he is very petty for some reason) in this video, you can see that he is struggling into believing what he is saying. This is as entertaining as the thread. "It is too early to say", lol the guy is in still in denial stage :)

Btw. in my short MW2 Remastered review I said that the visuals didn't impress me as much as the MW Remaster.
Just fired up the MW remaster again and they aren't any worse. In fact, MW2 Remastered is optimized for Xbox One X and offers a far higher resolution (2880x1620 vs. a dynamic resolution between 1360x1080 and 1920x1080). MW1 has tons of aliasing problems whereas the picture in MW2 is far far cleaner.

Kinda surprised to see that the Mafia Remaster only sits at a 76 Metascore currently.

Watched a video review and they were full of praise for the game. They changed a lot of things that didn't age well (added a cover system, removed some tedious point A to B rides, added conversations during rides, motorbikes). Fantastic graphics and barely any bugs (which is surprising considering Mafia 3 had tons of bugs and they're using the same engine.)

Definitely one of my most wanted games at the moment.
