Not only game pass. While Microsoft is in a position where they can be relatively comfortable despite selling less consoles than Sony, they're still very much in console business. Bigger install base means more game pass subscribers and 3rd party game sales.

They haven't released Halo or Forza on Playstation either, obviously, even though it would make them quick buck. So why would they do it with Fallout or Elder Scrolls?

Confident that aside from next gen versions of Elder Scrolls online or Fallout 76 all future games will be Xbox ecosystem exclusive. Twitter still has a ton of PS fans in denial thinking they HAVE to go multiplat because without PS these games will fail lol.

We gonna get a second wave of meltdowns when the games officially announce platform availability.

Based on a quick channel check, it looks like pre-order allocations for next gen Xbox were weighted 70 / 30 in favor of Series X at major retailers.

To be expected given pre-orders skew towards enthusiasts + Series S is pitched as all access / walk in / impulse buy.

Any info on if day one consoles will have some sort of special edition like the Xbox One?

There won't be any special editions it seems

But why? Don't all Playstation users have a gaming PC to play Xbox exclusives? What's the problem with Bethesda acquisition?

Good point by Angelus regarding if MS wanted they could have struck a deal with them to put it on game pass for way less money.

Is Sea of Thieves getting a next gem upgrade anytime around launch? I never managed to get into it when I tried it years ago, but I'm thinking of giving it another shot now with all the updates.

It desperately needs it, the loading times are terrible now. 

From someone who used to trash it, and troll SoT, it's actually really fun. If you are able to get a good squad and communicate with callouts it's fun.
