Well it is a hard one to be honest. Nobody saw that coming and it is really huge.

The "anti" Microsoft are coming out with "Oh but Bethesda games sucks since a while blah blah; no biggies" and stuff like that but honestly they probably have a hard time believing in that statement themselves. The other trend is to believe hard that all future games will be available on Play Station; I mean, this is just wishful thinking. Microsoft just spent 7.5B on this acquisition and for future games, we can expect 90% of them to be PC/Xbox exclusives for few reasons:

- They will sell the game NO MATTER WHAT. TES 6, Fallout 5, and Starfield WILL sell and people will get it on PC if they do not want to get an Xbox, but they will sell as much on top of boosting the Xbox side and GamePass.

- Second, and the most important one... Satya and Phil always CLEARLY stated their intention and I am not sure how some people can turn this into "they will publish future games on all platform" lol. Here is the quote: "future Bethesda games will be released on PC and Xbox, and via Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service. As for third-party platforms, Spencer said, “We’ll take other consoles on a case-by-case basis.”... I mean "case-by-case basis, said it all :)

The bottom line, I think it is completely stupid when you like something (Sony) so much to feel like the only way to enjoy it is to bash the other side (Microsoft) and vice-versa; while this is definitely a big win for Microsoft. I believe the Sony enthusiasts must just look forward and see how they will be able to play those games (which either on PC or Xbox if they buy an Xbox Series S for instance). Plenty of options anyway, instead of putting so much effort downplaying the games/studios and trying to convince themselves, those games are bad.

But no doubt, this is a huge win for Microsoft.

Took my X1X to bits and re applied some thermal paste and now it runs super quiet and the few games I had problems with are now working again it looked like the factory thermal paste missed the right 15-20% of the chip tbh and it just lost efficiency over these past 3 years.

Yeah I have to do that as well. But not before I have my Series X in case anything goes wrong...

I thought what the hell if it dies I only got 48 days to wait until Series X and I could play stuff on my PC as a worse cast scenario :D

This might be a problem on my X1X too. Fan gets loud when playing certain heavy games like RDR2, and when playing Borderlands 3 I have to set the console to 1080p or it'll constantly do the overheating shutdown. Though this might be because of Gearbox's shitty coding. But like Barozi, I won't perform any surgery before I have my Series X up and running.

The main game that got me was Gears 5 when you get to the press a button screen was cutting off whilst some games were fine. There was practically no dust inside at all was just the need for new thermal paste.

Gear 5 was causing my X1X fans to sound like a PS4. I opened it and applied a quality thermal paste I bought from Amazon and it runs cooler and quieter than new. 

@Barozi I thought you were gonna wait out the launch window and get Series Consoles later. Also, you gonna have a lot of work to do, when Zenimax games are added to Xbox Game Pass. 😆 

I'm in a permanent state of sourness for them not giving us a RDR2 RDR DLC yet.

Will they remake it for the new gen maybe? please?

ZeniMax's 'Orion,' and how it will boost Microsoft's Xbox xCloud streaming tech

... At its 2019 E3 showcase, Bethesda revealed Orion, its patented cloud streaming SDK, which it says its easy to integrate into existing games. Bethesda claims Orion allows games to run at "max settings" with minimal bandwidth usage, even if you live far away from a data center. To demonstrate these claims, Bethesda and id Software who are leading development of this SDK, demonstrated DOOM 2016 at 4K 60 frames per second, running on a smartphone....

Interesting take. Project Orion might be able to improve Xcloud.
