I'm expecting the first embargo to be nothing more than powering up the console browsing the menu showing off features on current gen games like quick resume etc.

Followed by a embargo maybe a month before launch of some hand picked games by Microsoft for gameplay purpuses

Then closer to launch let everyone in the media play whatever to get reviews ready.

Damn... I'm jealous of the press getting working Series X consoles this early... A month and a half, almost 2 months from launch.

I think it's something else. No way they acquiring SEGA. At most, like you said, a partnership. Their a public company right? There's no way this would not have leaked by now. 

Daaaammmnnn. Makes me yearn for Halo even more. 

SEGA acquisition would be most mehmerizing. Nothing interesting for me, unless they'd port Football Manager to Xbox.

Same here. I do not believe this is happening anyway but I tried to think of anything that would be a plus for me and I can't.

I more believe the rumour that the Xbox will be called Sega Series X in Japan, with all of Sega's games exclusive to it and other partnerships. Makes the most sense for everybody.

I'm not privvy to what IP/Studios do well in Japan. What do Microsoft realistically need, to stand a chance of doing okay/well in Japan? If they brand it under Sega of course.

If you ask me, all this speculation about acquisitions of such and such right now are just people seeing what they wanna see. MS made some serious waves buying Zenimax, and what you're seeing as a result, are the riples....anxious people (be it in the positive or negative sense) with heightened antennas, wondering what other dominos out there could possibly fall.
