So far, more than 10 million people around the world have streamed games through Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

In total, players across all 26 countries have played on more than 6,000 types of devices, from various flavors of Android phones to a range of PCs and iPhones from all generations.

On average, Xbox Game Pass players who use cloud, discover and play nearly twice as many games as Xbox Game Pass members who don’t play on cloud.

There are now more than 150 cloud-aware games featuring touch

On average, we see 2x increase in play for games that have touch controls, and 20% of Xbox Cloud Gaming users use touch exclusively.

A great example of this is Microsoft Flight Simulator. It became available via cloud on March 1, and quickly became the most played cloud game on phones, tablets, PCs and consoles for the month of March.

I played and beat Guardians of the Galaxy on Xcloud and it worked great, even tried it on the XB1S and it worked better than the native version because of the XSX server blades the difference load times were noticeable.

Overall it’s very impressive at how well it actually works, have yet to try it on Mobile devices though.

Wonder if Xbox will put anything in Geoff's showcase instead of their own as it's only a few days apart.

You know what? I'm actually thinking that leaked Geoff Keighley-Todd Howard interview clip I posted here several days ago will be during Geoff's showcase. MrMatty put that two and two together. So I wonder if that's when Starfield will gets it's full showcase! Something that'll appear before the masses rather than those just interested in Xbox/Bethesda. Kind of like how Elden Ring got it's showing at last years Summer Games Fest.

Xbox should've had an in-person FanFest in Tokyo as well if they're trying so hard to get into Japan

Xbox is listed as a partner for Geoff's showcase. Good news for sure, most likely means they will be getting some of their small stuff out of the way earlier, freeing up crucial space in this possibly just 90 minute long Xbox showcase.

Some of the small fry stuff they need to get out of way early:

  • Fallout 76 update
  • Elder Scrolls Online update
  • Flight Simulator next world update
  • Sea of Thieves update
  • Age of Empire 4 Xbox port
  • Deathloop Xbox port trailer and/or DLC for it
  • GoldenEye remaster

Edit: Nevermind, that was apparently a 2021 list of partners on the website, 2022 partners are still yet to be announced.

Oooooooor, that leaked Todd Howard and Geoff Keighley interview might be there

Finished Bugsnax.

What a weird game. Bear-like creatures being addicted to insects that look like snacks even when their limbs transform to the bugsnax they've eaten. Feels like being part of a cult.

Performance-wise I already mentioned that there will be extremely low frame rates, especially in the Snaxburg area that serves like a hub and houses all of these "people". Visuals are decent for an indie game but nothing that screams next gen.

Missions are pretty short and easy and mostly consist of catching a specific Bugsnack in an area and then feed it to the quest giver. Story is pretty meh but the dialogue between these characters is rather interesting/funny and might be the best part of the game. Catching Bugsnax isn't terribly boring either as you need to use all of your items (sometimes in combination) to get them. Length is quite decent as well. Finished the main mission and all side missions in 10 hours. Still got the DLC left to play that is included in the Xbox version and some misc achievements.

7/10
