Rabbids sold well and was well received. I expect to see a sequel. Or maybe something with the Zelda franchise?

| Darwinianevolution said: Do you think SMT V will release in 2020? They're certainly taking their time with it, probably all of the P5 stuff is taking their workforce off it. That and general slow development process. |
Depends on when they started development and how far they were when they announced it. For comparison, when they announced Tokyo Mirage Sessions they hadn't even a clue what the game should be aside from a crossover. Another example is Persona 5 which was massively changed midway through development so it couldn't make its initially targeted 2014 release. If SMT 5 was the same mess then we could wait another good time.
Come on Nintendo, bring back Paper Mario, Starfox, Pikmin, and F-Zero in some way!!!! I wouldn't even mind 1080 Snowboarding or Waver Race in some way lol

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind
We should see Breath of the Wild 2 in September/October next year together with new hardware (Switch Pro) to compete with Sony/MS next gen hardware. There will surely be another yet unannounced big Mario title for holidays next year, maybe Super Mario Sunshine HD, Mario Galaxy 1+2 HD or Odyssey 2. A Splatoon spin-off is also likely to happen during the year. Depending on how good the new motion control game sells (Ring Fit Adventure) we could also see Nintendo pushing out new software in this direction.
Can't tell if late next year will have the release of Breath of the Wild 2, or Odyssey 2. Not really sure, I think they're both as likely. But I don't expect them in the same timeframe, so if I had to pick one...

I kind of feel like Mario Odyssey 2 is more likely next year ... but I also feel like it's time for a new Paper Mario and Mario Sports spin-off, so I'm a bit conflicted. I think 3 Mario titles in a year is a bit much.
I think botw 2 is a lock for next year. Like the zelda for n64, it will have a quick turn around using the same world. I think there will be a few more astral chain like collaborations too. I'm still not sold on the idea that Nintendo will make a switch pro though. I hope they do. I know people like to point to new 3ds but, that wasnt really a pro style system, even though it was slightly more potent. I guess time will tell.

I don't think ther will be a Mario Odyssey 2... Ever. I feel like the team is working on a 3D World successor more than anything.

I could see that but I also think it's way more likely than about half your list.
Edit: When I say I could see that I mostly mean focusing on the next non-Odyssey original 3D Mario ... which I honestly don't think will be a 3D World sequel.
I'm almost certain we're going to get a new 3D Mario game next year. Whether that's a sequel to Odyssey or something completely different, I'm unsure. Pokemon Gen 4 remakes are also a possibility. I'm also holding out hope for Skyward Sword HD as an appetizer for Breath of the Wild 2, which I think won't come out until 2021.
